Just a question for all the W209 owners.... Is there an option for the electric folding side mirrors for our W209's?

You mean a button you press to fold them in ?

If so then yes it is an option, I thought this was standard on a 500 !

I don't believe its a standard for the CLK500....can anyone else validate this? It might be a euro spec thing.

I am pretty sure this is only standard on non-US cars. It is not an option on US cars, but you can retrofit it (I believe). I've seen it done on the w203 and w211 on these boards. I think the parts were from Steve, not sure though.

The option code for the Electrically folding outside mirrors is 500 and the cost was NZ$ 630 for our order. (215 Euro in Germany)

smandkjc, what exactly consist of this order? What parts do i receive? And we are talking about the CLK 500 right?

500 Is the order code when placing a special order for a new CLK 500 from the factory.
You get both mirrors that can be electricly folded back with a switch just above the mirror adjustment switches.
This option saves the mirrors from being knocked off when you leave the car in a narrow street or when parking in tight places.
I would imagine you could order the mirrors and switch to retrofit to your existing car if that is what you are wanting to do.

It's not available as an option in the US lineup of vehicles. The only way to get it is to order it from a dealer in Asia or Europe. As Mr. fadedinc stated, MBenzNL is a good source for Euro parts.
