Finally Got My 55
My graduation was yesterday and when i got home right in the garage was a 2001 CLK 55 Black Opal the car loaded with nav and all the options and two-tone leather, i've been wanting for the last three years. It was a surprise. I will be getting pictures up very shortly it's been raining constantly the last two days so i haven't had a chance to get any good pics, AMG rims, brand new michellin sport tires, car has 8000k 
it is definately faster than my 190e i'll tell you that.
some mods that i'm planning, i've just ordered the flat hood emblem, am going to order dension ice link for ipod, has anyone here successfully hooked this up to the 2001 CoMand system that's in the clk55 ? please let me know, i've searched forums but no luck yet, ordered my blinder laser jammers m40 for the front and 3m protective cover for headlights and a can of VEIL as the state troopers in cT are laser friendly, and of course the V1 remote kit . . . i wanna keep the car pretty clean looking, but maybe a darker tint, the windows seem to have a tint on them already, well thanks for listening to me rant, i promise to put the pictures up this week, everything happened so fast, graudation, new car, and started my first full time career job today, figures the day after i graduated . . . that's all for now!

thanks everyone, i've only had this car for three days now and it's the love of my life, my job is tech support at a web design company, entry level of course, but the pay if pretty decent.
this car is a blast to drive, so smooth and the engine purrs, not even making it up, it has a ferocious roar when you hit the gas . . . very exhilirating.
the windows seem to have been tinted, are the 55's stock this way from the factory ? there is definately a tint on it, the rims are not stock, i will take a pic today and post i promise, the weather is miserable here, thanks everyone, i'll def get pics up today

don't have that kind of cash right now 
i will eventually i think, i'm skipping out on the dension icelink, i plugged ipod into aux port thru comand, and that seemed fine, but i am however going to get the clip to mount next to buttons from dension,

Man, awesome grad gift. I remember when I graduated so long ago I had my parents hold my diploma and they spilled a little coffee on it. I think getting a CLK55 is a much better grad gift.

ctrider, congrats on the car. I also want to hook my ipod up to my car, how did you do it? What aux port did you hook into? What do I need to purchase to make this happen? Thanks in advance for you help!

The aux port is in the glove compartment i believe you need to have the comand system for this to be in there. it's on the extreme right side a little cable insert where you can just buy an 1/8inch to an 1/8inch cable at radioshak for 7 bucks and i bought my mount from proclip.com two pieces and i did it myself i'll post pics on saturday when i get my camera back and after i wash it
