CLK DTM Bodykit?
Hey check this out, my friend emailed this to me yesterday. It looks like a aftermarket kit. I'm gonna find out where he got that picture tomorrow, but what do you guys think? Does it look like the real thing or not?

That doesnt look like a kit. You're probably looking at pulled fenders and a lot of quarter pannel sculpting, maybe bondo, and additional fabrication. I agree, it does look great, also looks WAY expensive.

I don't know how much, I asked him and he said not even worth it because not only you have buy the kit, a good paint job is also gonna hurt you. But I'm still debating.

Yeah looks great. I can understand why he said its not worth it. Its quite a lot of work. Remember, you need to pay for the kit, custom fabrication, paint, and you need to get new wheels. It adds up, and come out to be alot. Plus pending on what type of material you use too. If you stick with Fiberglass and bondo, there are alwasy possiblity it will crack, thus, you would need more money to fix it and repaint it again. You stick with custom sheet metal, it gets even more expensive. It gets Expensive just in general.

The Price you pay to be original... You bought a Benz because others cant. You mod your Benz because others cant.

I swear if I can get an IDENTICAL DTM kit for the CLK, that could be my next car. This just makes me want to hump it.
I think the CLK DTM is one of the baddest most aggresive most original cars ever.

From the pic Mr CLK posted, I thought it made the CLK appear rather small.
But from that side view...WOW.
Is the gas cover cut like that? or is the angle of the picture just making it seem that away?

it is the "Super Widebody Kit" by VITT, japanese tuner "Vivid.Imaginative.Technically.Theory."
the widebody kit consists of
widebody front bumper
widebody rear bumper
widebody front and rear fenders
widebody sideskirts
at the current exchange rate, it is $5,727 at 111 yen per US dollar.
the rear spoiler is optional, and is $1,204 at the current exchange rate.
you are looking at $6,931 or a little bit under 7g's for the kit at the current rate if you were to take direct conversion. this is not always the case, since importing it or buying from official distributor costs more, but as in the case with DIXIS exhausts for m3's, the price they are going for now is very very close to the equivalent price that they list on their website (after currency conversion).
this is the super wide edition. usually VITT's "swe" are very extreme, but their normal "wide edition" is usually much more tasteful and clean. they don't currently offer one for the 209 yet in normal wide, but hopefully they will...
