As promised here is a pic. Tuning is still being worked out. New software, colder plugs, etc. are still needed before posting any dyno #'s.

wow!!! crazy!! Who did the brakes? Not that I care anymore since I went the brembo route, but these are indeed W211 E55 rotors and calipers correct? TWS was being shady and wouldn't tell me whether it was that (which I'm 99.99999% sure it is) and was trying to hint that it could be from the SL (the rotors). Whatever, I just wanted them on my car and have them do the necessary customization/fitting. You'd think after 5 personal Mercedes with at least wheels tires and suspension on each plus countless other referrals, that at least I'd get that kind of intel so I could go forth w/ the project. Ok, so I went off on a rant... lol

Who did your s/c? How does it feel so far? Hard? Easy? Cost? PM me if you want, rather than posting.

That's hott. No one can touch you in that beast! Do you only have one air intake now? Where did you get the supercharger and which model was it off of? How long did it take? thanks

Only thing better would be a complete W211 engine swap, but that's f-ing awesome! Post some dynos #'s when you get all the kinks out.

Who do you think did the brakes? TWS pioneered retro-fitting the AMG 8/4 pistons onto any car. I remember back then others said it couldnt be done.

Yes the rotors and calipers are off the w211 E55. It took about 2 days to get done by TWS. The only downside I see so far is a slightly longer pedal (as expected), and heavier rotors.

That's a dangerous move there Steve. That only temps me to have you install more stuff on the CLK.

I will just sit on the pass seat while you kick the car around the block and keep my mouth shut about parts - deal?

But Steve, I know youre notorious for those Jedi mind tricks.

Everyone else, what engine cover do you think I could use to make it look better?

Richard had this on his E-class.

Dan

If you're going to do an engine cover definitely get a custom carbon fiber!

Greetings Dan,

I received your PM...response sent.

Your mods look outstanding I'm particularly interested to know who's tuning your FI application, this is the most critical part.

I have to agree with James, CF would be a nice finishing touch...I can forward you the contact info of someone who does work for Brabus, he's in Northern Cal.

Enjoy the ride!!!

Im surprised you didnt use the ECU from a car with that type of setup. Did you lower the compression or did you detune the SC ?

Just curious, who your contact is at Brabus and why does he live in Nor Cal if Brabus is in NPB? I know most of the whole crew down at NPB. The person who installed Dan's brakes is a Brabus master technician, thats why I ask who you know?
