$449,314. Don't you agree? LOL! Unless it has the winning lotto ticket as one of its options, I think I'll pass. Can you imagine the monthly car payment?!

Is it some kind of scam? How can they mess up on the price like that? Unless they are purposely doing it to get attention for the car!

$49K sounds very reasonable for an '05. But if they meant $44K for an '05, I'd definitely go for that! Time to call them and see what they say. Maybe then, they'll realize their mistake.

Update: I called the toll free number and talked to a salesman (didn't catch his name). Anyway, it's new w/ a couple hundred miles on it, never owned. Sticker was about $74K, they're asking $59.9K. He's not sure who put the ad up on Autotrader w/ that crazy price. Umm...why doesn't he ask the Internet Sales Mgr.? LOL!

Anyway, just FYI if someone wants a new CLK55. Sounds pretty tempting to me, but doubt the wifey would go for it.

FYI - I've been getting very tempting offers from this dealership days after inquiring on the "real" selling price.

The salesman (who's name I won't mention because I don't care who gets the sale) recently offered me a selling price of $57,500 + tax on this car ($74K MSRP). The options it has is: Lighting Pkg., Harmon Kardon (I think) w/ in-dash cd changer and Keyless Go, but does not have Parktronic nor Comand nav.

Anyway, he even sent me a few pics. Might as well share it here. If there's any CLK55 fans out there looking to buy, this may be the deal you've been waiting for. Plus, I'm hoping someone does buy it so it'll keep me from being tempted to get it...LOL!

nice car, for sure! Would someone be better off buying the 2007 CLK550 with the new engine though over this?

Good question. Since the CLK550's price is TBA, we don't know for sure. We do know it's about 20 hp more than the current CLK55, but lacks the AMG badge and the added benefits that come along w/ it (i.e. upgraded brakes, sportier suspension, etc). Unless somebody heard something different?

Anyway, here's a link to the CLK550's specs.
