No, the 996TT is not mine, but it visits me often. It is FAST... but, no low end power on this Auto. You have to wait for the turbo to spull up, which doesn't happen until 4K. For everyday driving I still choose the CLK55 with low end TQ.

Once we chip the 996TT it will be a different story I hope.

I would like to race that 996TT. I can't seem to get any 996TT's to bite when on the streets.

I too live in Vegas.

Does he have aftermarket turbos or something?


The stock turbos spool WAY before 4k rpms.

I'm sure if you're driving the car agressively, but under normal driving they didn't kick in until at least 3K+. Also, this is an auto... if it was a stick I'm sure you can get better response. Having said that, the car is extremely FAST as it is and with a chip I'm sure we can kill most of that lag.
