SLK55 vs E39 M5

This quote is especially ignorant:
Chill out....Yes he has a point, and at least the guy actually told what sounded like the truth, unlike the majority of BS kill stories I read over here..
Then you proceed to jump all over him, "Oh amg this, Mercedes better than all blah blah"
Pretty funny how your a self proclaimed authority on all these fine newer sports/luxury cars, When, what is it your driving around in?
You kept throwing those comments in that guys face, "Oh do you own a slk55?"Seriously you just flat out attacked that guy for no good reason, and lost the argument in the end to boot...
Nice going Scrooge.....

It's a forum and people are free to express there differences whether they be factual or opinionated. Simple! There is a lot of BS over there and I decided to comment. To all those guys BMW's are superior.
PS You're entitled to your opinions also!
SLK55 or modded SLK32 would have done to him exactly what happened, is what I was saying was the point to my arguement. Where was he correct other than posting a 12.8 sec claimed to be stck M5?
And u chillout! Happy Holidays Dumb Elf!

EDITED!

I own a C43 project car and several other cars. So I can't comment on different luxury performance cars based on u knowing nothing about me? Get a life Clown! Enjoy your chebrolet! Hope it lasts!

Which to me I have none. There is a lot of BS over there and I decided to comment. To all those guys BMW's are superior.

As for my vehicle ownership question: I was giving you a much deserved albeit watered down taste of what you were serving up to the guy at the Bimmer forum, when you kept on him about "What cars he owns? & how he didn't own an slk55?..."
Now why don't you go re-read your unprovoked bashing fest over @ Bimmerworld
& think about it, really think about it.... before giving your mandible another workout
No I'm obviously not a Mod around here, but you happily posted the link, I read it, & gave you my opinion, enjoy.....Happy Holidays.....

I am Sorry and no hard feelings! Perhaps just a misunderstanding on both sides. Enjoy the holidays and I'll edit. The mandible working part was funny though!
Take care!

. A stock M5 is not going to hit a 1.898 second 60' time with stock radials launching at 2,000 rpm. It doesn't have the traction, the power/weight, or the suspension set up to allow enough weight transfer to give it sufficient traction to do this.Don't believe every timeslip you see on the Internet. After all, your buddy SL Brabus managed to post this fake timeslip at Dragtimes.com (which was since removed after I pointed it out to the webmaster).
I've raced multiple M5s, and never lost to one yet. This is not a high 12 second car, any more than mine is, on street tires. With DRs, very possibly, but not with street rubber, and certainly not launching at 2,000 rpm.

Is there anything you read that you don't believe? I've never seen such a credulous individual.
There is another guy who claimed to have run a 12.7 in a "bone stock" M3. But if you look at his video, you see that the car's front seat is gone, the rear wheels are not stock, etc. etc. etc., but there are plenty of people still gullible enough to believe it.
Well, not me. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and I say that a stock M5 ain't going to hit a 1.9 sec. 60' with street tires, launching at 2000 rpm. If you'd ever driven/launched one, you'd realize how ridiculous this claim is. IF the car was to ever hit a 1.9, you'd have to launch it at a helluvalot higher than 2,000 rpm!

EDIT: Hmm...the point you made about the race...the 2000 rpm launch sounds very questionable. Intersting he says he did not feather it, considering that 2k in an M5 is going rather lightly in a drag race! Look, in the 30 seconds I found and copied that link, I saw the 12.8 QTR time. Hence, the post.

This is what I'm saying....unless he's at a track which allows one to launch at a 45 degree down angle, there is simply no way, no how, an M5 is going to get that quick of a 60' time (and trust me: that is a *really* fast 60' time) launching at 2000 rpm on street tires (or on DRs, for that matter). Even with DRs mounted up, you'd *have* to launch it closer to its torque peak (which was at nearly 4,000 rpm) to have any hope of hitting that 60' time.
There are plenty of people out there, as you well know, who are willing to post a lot of bunk to get thier 15 minutes of fame amongst their fellow Net denizens. Which is one reason I take claims like this with the proverbial grain of salt. Modded? Sure. Stock? Nope. Need DRs at a minimum to have any hope of nailing *that* in a stock E39.

Any info on the the track itself?
