More than 7? You can get in on this pricing right now. We are giving the benefit of the doubt that we'll get 5 people.

These gains are from ECU reprogram only? Or, is there intake or other mods that need install before these numbers are achieved?

That is from the ECU tune only, on a stock car!

I will probably do this. Can a MB dealership tell if the car has been ECU tuned or not?

Can you please elaborate... I'd like to know how you achieve these gains without changing any mechanical components....

Sounds like you're just playing with a/f ratios and timing.

If so, then it would be nice to see a HP/TQ curve in comparison to stock and see where you're gaining and (where you're losing). Thanks.

bradb1us - If they looked, they could tell... but they have no reason to be looking at your ECU unless you have something wrong with your motor... which you won't.

amr - This works the same way any software upgrade works... we optimize the car for a better A/F ratio and better timing. Our software upgrades make power across the ENTIRE power band.

Here are some dynos of cars we've tuned in the last week or so:

BMW 325i

Ferrari F355

And a Mercedes C230:

Ordering & Installing:
-At time of purchase, select shipping method that is suitable for returning your ECU to you. If you need your car up and running immediately, we suggest Express Mail or FedEx Overnight
-Once you have purchased, you will be emailed a pre-paid shipping label.
-You will remove the Electronic Control Unit from your car, box it up, and place the shipping label on the box.
-The ECU will be sent out, and is programmed the same day it is received.
-The ECU will be returned the same day, by whatever shipping method you originally chose. The shipping for this is included in the price of your Tuning Upgrade-
-Simply Install the ECU and Enjoy!

are these HP and Torque gains based on running 93+ octane? If so, what are the gains on the dyno using normal 91 octane?

thanks,
AL

The first number (18) is 91 octane, the second number (22) is 93 octane.

This special is ending sometime this week so act now if you're interested guys.

Question

I'm looking at the C230 graph and at 4500 I see about a 5 HP increase.

Tell me why I would want to spend $800 (or $750 for a drive-in) to get 5 more HP? I must be missing something. (I'm also wondering why it's $800, when the E-class ECU tuning is $500.)

(Yes, I'm aware that the gains for a CLK 55 would probably be more than for a C-class, but humor me.)

A few factors:
-Yes, significantly higher power gains makes the software more valuable to our customers - which means they're willing to pay more for this software than the C230 software - which is being sold at $450.
-The ECU is more valuable on your car than a C230. So if we're going to warranty it, we have to charge a little bit more to account for that!

Thanks Jon. Can you make any guestimates as to what could be expected in a CLK 55, then? (I'm up in the Valley, and could do the drive-by shoo... erm, drive-in method )

(Please don't take this the wrong way - I was also asking about the $800 because my naïve view says "They're just reprogramming an EEPROM-on-Steroids, why is that so much money?". I guess if you are warranting the work, it has to be factored into the equation.)

You're not being naive at all, it's a very legitimate question.

One could say that even our $400 software is a lot of money to simply "flash" an ECU.

The truth is, you're paying for R&D. Each unit of Windows Vista costs pennies to burn on a CD and send you the documentation, you know In order to develop this software, our supplier has to borrow or rent a car, pay for labor as they tune and play with the car, etc etc. This costs time and money

Also, of course, there's the warranty thing I was telling you about

So, for your CLK55:
On 91 Octane, you'll make: 18HP and 22TQ
On 93 Octane, you'll make: 20HP and 24TQ

The retail on the software is $1199... so I'd advise purchasing before the end of the week!

Hmmn. $800 for a 5 percent boost in HP. I think I need a 2nd opinion

Guys, anyone else done this sort of ECU modification to your CLK 55's before?

If so, was it worth it?

I'd like to hear from some people, too. We haven't sold many CLK55 units, we've been selling a lot of BMW and W203 software though. Check the reviews on our site!
