CLK 55 throttle Body

does anyone know if the throttle body on the CLK 55 is the same as the one on the CLK 500?

If not, how much bigger is the CLk 55 one?

My guess is probably not. they have the same airflow meter, elbow and seals. Can check the part #s later at work.

???? WIS like standalone wis?. My wis is on the same laptop with the DAS system. It's way cool. The best way is full integration, like you scan a prob, get a fault and then you can transport into wis back and forth from DAS to look at or print wiring diagrams, service information, specs, work instructions etc. The programs will automatically share the vehicle model and serial after DAS grabs it from the cars systems.
Then again you may be referring to the EPC for this threads info.
BTW this isn't ebay stuff (not to say your is) so I've had no problems, but a non Mercedes shop couldn't afford these specialized tools. So if you have the ebay stuff, I have no idea if and how to get it to work. So how smart am I?
I'm surprised at the 74 mm, I would have guessed 60-70mm. Definitely no need for improvement on a n/a engine, at least not without improving the maf flow first as it's restictive design.
So you going to bring that bad boy up here to spank us? I haven't begun to start the big projest, but I'm torn between doing the ML or CLK first.
Rich

As usual your right !! Rich. I cann't get through the EPC. Easily . I'm still learning. The Car & Engine Project is moving forward, Slow , but steady! As far as your Choices in your future updates GO WITH the ML500. Lots of room under the engine hood. Like Ted, you'll supprise the Hell out of most cars

Believe it or not, I don't even use the epc everyday, I am online with suppliers, and their parts programs are way faster for looking up and then adding it directly to an order. Even barnett racing in Atlanta has online for their wholesale side.
If you drive a modified G55, you can't help but love it. It has fueled the fire for throwing some more power into the ML55, you know for trips. But they both have more power coming eventually.
I bought a dead sea doo 650 yesterday, should be a fun little toy to take junior on.

I think the 55 should be significantly bigger.

Well, the whole exhaust is larger diameter, so why not the intake too. I demand a recall for us 55 owners to have larger throttle, maf and air cleaners installed!!!
