Car looks great, what colour is that?
We have the 05 CLK500 in Jasper / Orion Blue but I thought that colour had been discontinued.

The color is discontinued....my car is actually the only one you will ever see in this color. Its a long story but the short version goes like this...I bought an 06 clk 500 brand new in this color and it turned out to be a lemon. After extensive negotations with mercedes the finally saw that it was in their best interest to give me the color I instited on....

Got so excited when I saw the colour I didnt see your Title gave me the colour.
Just hope you have better luck with this car than your 06.
We will probably wait till the new model in 09 to replace our 05.
Couldnt get the colour or the interior we wanted if we replace now plus depreciation has been such that we will have lost 50% of its value in just 2 years.
Just hope the new model will not be as ugly as the new C class in the front.

Congrats bro....ur gonna love it. I waited over a year for mine and it was well worth it. The 63 engine is a masterpiece, natural aspiration means straight *****...I smoke just about anything that dares to step up. The most memorable race so far had to be the gallardo I dusted on the turnpike..I've also driven the caddy CTSV and personally there is no comparison. If you have any questions about the car feel free to ask. good luck with yours !!

Originally, I was going to get the Euro delivery. However, plans have changed, and unfortunately that vacation got cancelled...

I drive an M3 right now, and my brother drives a modded Vette. I just can't wait until the day I show him the taillights..

Here is my 63

Here is a link to a thread where I have some photos of mine (don't know how to attach without adding the link).

https://mbworld.org/forums/clk55-amg-clk63-amg-w208-w209/181567-why-no1-buying-clk63.html

It is Arctic White with Stone interior. Just got my new plate = 63 AMG.

Congrats on your purchase. Not many around. I finally saw another one for the first time two days ago on the freeway.

I love this car!

This is my first AMG. I had the CLK320, but when this came out we had to have it. It was the perfect match. My husband wanted a high performance car (as did I) and I wanted a convertible 4 seater (kids). Instead of getting another car for him we opted to upgrade my ride to suit both of us. We had a Corvette and in 2 years only put 4K miles on it because of its seating capacity.

There is nothing better than finding an opening on the freeway and leaving all the other cars standing still. I have only been able to get a couple cars to play with me. A guy in his Audi, don't remember which one, and a Magnum R/T. It was fun, no problem getting out in front. I then let them catch up again and then take off.

Anyway, enjoy yours as I totally love mine!

Oh yeah, btw it's "sis" not bro, lol. That is the main reason for the white, I got to choose the color. They are very hard to find with that color combo. When I bought mine there were only three in So. California and mine was already sold to someone who had ordered it.

Please send me the link.

I too have looked into the Renntech @ $3695.00 (from what i've been told here in Ca.), but once others start makng the ECU upgrade available I hoping that it will start to even out the prices. I am not sure but think Renntech is the only one right now with the ECU upgrade for the 63.

I had someone offer me to be a test vehicle for the powerchip upgrade, but decided against that.

I also would like to add the headlights as well as looking into quad exhaust.

I am just waiting patiently to see what other mods they will come up with.

CLK63 is nice and I can see how coming from 430 and 500 its day and night... but from 55... not so much.
Everyone knows the 63 has more power than 55, but it still can't put it down to the ground efficiently. The one that I drove couldn't hook up at all. The ESP light just wouldn't stop flashing unless you were babying the pedal. It was really annoying. My 55 was quicker that day with 275 PS2s in the rear.
I'm sure it is a rocket on the freeway, but from the dead stop I am not impressed at all, if fact... I was disapointed. It does look and sound nice for what its worth... but I just stopped being impressed with vehicles that spin the wheels.

Interesting..............The 55 is a great car, very quick, I've driven it many times and have allot repect for it. But by no means does it even come close to the 63. Its a totally different engine. Supercharged 369hp compared to naturally aspirated 475, thats over 100 horses more in a car thats just straight ballz, has all round better parts, & all new F1 paddle shifting.
But the 55 is still no joke.
A good friend of mne, who just happens to be my nieghbor has one, whenever we're together on the road we hit it. Its always a smoke show....On the highway its just discusting what i do to him. BUT !! when it comes to off the line, you make a very good point. At first he had me almost everytime. I would hit it & my *** would be all over the place, especially with the esp off. This went on for a while & my friend would pop ish about it constantly, but things have changed, by now im nice with the shifting at all speeds & off the line its a wrap................Do yourself a favor, go scoop a 63, drive it for 3 days and tell me if you still feel the same.

Thought I'd chime in. I just ripped on a clk63. I have a c55 which is a hair faster than the clk55. My impressions? I like how taught the handling is much crisper imho. The esp is tuned better also and the shifts on the 7 spd are a bit quicker also. The greatest thing I noticed was that I did drive the car hard and it did not push like the c55 does. Mine wallows like a pig on rollerskates. The salesman noted that they tuned a lot out with the "new" suspension. However, there is no limited slip avialable or 030 package????

I must say though that the brakes clown my c55's the initial bite is awesome. I am seriously considering the upgrade even though I hate convertibles!!!

Did I notice the greater amount of power and was it that much more??? What I noticed was that it was a broader torque band and not sooo low as the 55's are. On a funny note the sticker said that it had 225's on the rear LOL!.

The keyless go is sick and a must have on any new amg I buy. Another neat deal is that the foglights bend around corners?? pretty cool.

The seats are much larger and I really didn't find the bolstering all that great. I had a c43 with them as well that were much better and smaller seats. I'm 6' but in shape so... for the larger people etc.

What else can I say?? I finally actually like the interior I honestly couldn't stan the wierd instrument panel and the distronic front and back are fun.

Overall I really liked the car as MB seemed to have tune out the understeer and make my car what I would like to to be without a top!

Both the W208 and W209 CLK55s are normally aspirated from the factory. 342hp and 362hp respectively.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I drove a CLK55 and passed on it in favor of the M3. The M3 struck a better balance between luxury and sport (with the bias being toward sport).

The CLK63 has more of a bias toward sport. The handling is better (I felt the 55 was sloppy with much more body roll than the 63 has) and the acceleration is obviously a class leader. Brakes, transmission, etc.. I don't think the 55/63 comparision can really be made.

Getting power to the ground is a different story. Why MB didn't include an LSD on them is beyond me. Just remember that all things automotive are subjective, as one's desires may not always reflect another's.
