Sorry to say, but you're out of your mind with that price Like others have said, you can get way more car for that money......and I seem to remember a w208 Renntech CLK60 widebody vert 6spd going for a similar price over a year ago. I doubt there is even a single enthusiast out there who will pay more than 40k for that car....don't get me wrong, its a nice car w/ a lot of power, but mods don't equal doubling the market value

00 KLEEMANN CLK 430 - 02 KLEEMANN CLK55 - 88 Euro / Jap AMG 560 SEC Widebody
If you are a fan of the 208 bodystyle (no longer in production) and would mod one if you had one, then a 55 at only 35 K miles with full tilt Kleemann ++ setup would be a rare find.
No question you could buy other, perhaps even more powerful, cars for the same $$. But there's someone out there who has dreamed of owning this exact car. That's the person who will pay the seller what might seem, to some people, like an "unreasonable" price.
I'd do it!...... If I hadn't already done it ......

........this is why I don't sell my cars. Both sides are correct. The seller invested way more than $50k, but no one is going to buy that car for close to that amount. If you are going to mod these cars this much, you should be prepared to just keep them. The blood and sweat that go into modding these cars unfortunately have no dollar value.

You Just Don't Get It
Thanks Ted for the rational comment here. With all due respect to the great people that I have met over the years on this Board, 55 and Flynavy just do not get it. Just like the ad says and just like Ted, Lowphat and Blackbenz etc. wrote, the car is highly modded, high performance and the right car for the right buyer. If that is not you, or if you cannot afford it, then so be it. That's cool. But don't be a buzz kill for those who may be able to enjoy the car.
To answer the other questions: the cost of the mods and the car far exceed this price; the mods were done in December 2006; a w208 Renntech CLK60 widebody vert 6spd and the E55 PALE in comparison to the performance of my vehicle; and, the car just went on sale yesterday.
Show some love guys.......jeesh

nice car. the only thing is that its probably more fun to buy a car and mod it yourself, as opposed to buying an already highly modified car.
just curious: why are selling it (Clk63 BS?)

For those who are looking to get the previous gen CLK and is in the hobby of modding it (engine, aesthetics etc...) this is the car for you!

Kleemann CLK55 > Renntech CLK60 I made that decision not too long ago but I'm a little biased. If anyone out there has a Renntech CLK60 in the DC area and would like to make a video with a Kleemann CLK55 please let me know
