I think I found one yesterday. Is this guy a poser or am I mistaken? No AMG badges, markings, floor mats, etc. in the interior

Could be a non-Kompessor S55 but the rear bumper looks like a carlsson?
Also those CL55 pictures from the last page could be a non-Kompresser AMG (2000-2002?), they didn't come with quad tips

I saw a guy driving down the I-10 yesterday with an 01/02 CL500 that he had rebadged as a CL55 AMG with a V12 BiTurbo badge on the fender and a Brabus emblem on the hood with some chrome wheels that looked like he bought them at pep boys...
The ridiculousness some people are capable of amazes me...

AMG badge is misaligned on that one, so it's probably fake. Plus, didn't AMG's have quad exhaust tips?

this car has a body kit as well... it most likely IS a fake, but u cannot prove it from these pics... it might be a bad job from a paint shop... ive seen that before... The quad exhaust hasnt always been used on all amg's and the owner could have decided to go with these tips as his body kit required them... again, not saying this is an s55 as it probably isnt but this thread was so cool because the cars were horrible... now it seems like it that any inconsistency is being posted.

And, like I said, I looked inside and there was no AMG on the floor mats or seats. Also it did not have cross drilled rotors nor AMG calipers. I'm a MB newbie so I dont know for sure but I really think he was fakin the funk

I'd say you would be a reverse poser if you have an AMG and put standard badging on it. like C320 instead of C32 AMG.

Was walking down hollywood blvd the other day and a white "cl65 amg" with quad tips drove past and stopped at the red light where I was going to cross. The guy starts reving and it was very apparent it wasn't a v12. I walk past the car and spot the tiny black calipers. smh

Another way to tell if a car is indeed an AMG is check the trim around the windows and doors, most AMGs (for sure my CLK55) have Black trim and other MB's have Chrome trim... easy to spot em a mile away....I have a new neighbor in the hood with a CLK230 badged as a CLK nothing on one side and AMG on the other, absolutely pathetic...
