Seriously?! S63 rebadged as S65. Like WTF. Already such a nice car. And no, he didn't make it look "just like an S65" that dumbass didn't change the exhaust tips.
Also for some reason there's 3 Maybach 57 on eBay right now badged as "57s."

I definitely see your point lowpost but here's my thought on it, Brabus and other such companies are performance and aftermarket TUNING companies. I mean their true purpose is to rebuild or modify engines from a range of high end cars in order to ratchet as much power out of them as possible. I see their motivation, but if it is just an appearance package, doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a high-performance tuning company touch your car? That IS what they are classified as.
I mean, just because they do it doesn't mean the concept is correct. At least let's be smart and reasonable about it. The concept is exactly the same, just that the two companies have different policies.
If we were to stick to those policies respectively, then yes. Sticking an AMG badge on a car that was not produced by AMG is wrong.

In my opinion - and I'm sure someone will disagree - it's almost the same sentiment as Chrysler copying the styling of a Bentley for their earlier 300s. Yes it is a different car, yes any remotely trained eye can see the difference, and yes they didn't copy a specific car and YES I am sure they were never sued for it, but in the end all they really did was cheapen a look and the established identity of a brand that sets it apart from all others.
It's not even comparable to fake breastseses man, the badge has no function but to look like sh*t.

I agree, real owners don't care. I just look at a falsely badged car and laugh at it in my mind... another loser who thinks AMG is just for show.
Auto enthusiasts will spot a fake and the average person doesn't even know the difference or really care so who are they trying to impress?
Funny thing is that fakes get much more upset in the presence of a real AMG.

Well thanks for educating me Ahmed now I know that I can never be a real AMG owner. I had no idea there were such strict requirements and you all had to follow the same sentiments. Toyota TRD is where I am at. Hell a Toyota TRD badge on a 1980s Ford Laser would suit me. Any opinions on the color of the racing flames? Which ones will make me go faster?

I gave him a bunch of s**t for it for the heck of it, no worries man. No flame wars here. I wield sarcasm in lieu of personal restraint, but overall I see your point. I would never DO anything about it, does it put me off a little - for sure. However it is funnier than it is my problem, why would I waste my time with those people anyway? But I really do believe it can 'cheapen' the brand to a certain extent - I agree with NardoNZ.

I like them, they look up to us, we are the idols! I get nothing but a thumbs up from posers with a look that only the cat in Shrek can give you! Some of them pretend they are the real deal, but try extra hard to get out of your way so you don't pay attention to their brakes, or look inside for an AMG interior.. rev the car....or even better.. ask to see who built their engine!!! hahahah
I have nothing but love for them, and wish they can one day get a real AMG car and appreciate what they have been dreaming of all these years!
I look at them and say to myself.. they are fortunate enough to get half way there, taste it and hopefully make it all the way to a real AMG car. Why put them down and give em a hard time? They are our MB brethrens!
Why can't we all just get along in this miserable world? I mean seriously? With all the hate and racism and politics and religious conflicts.. do we really need an AMG and NON AMG conflict as well???

I will tell you what no other brand is ever going to give you, refinement! As much as I have jumped from a benz to an M car, to a P car... it is definitely a blessing being back behind the wheel of a real benz,,,, and this time an AMG!
Call me a troll, an A Hole, and pessimist.. or what you will! I've been around long enough to appreciate the good things in life! And this car is on that damn list!
I just don't want to act like a stuck up priiick that's all. I give credit even when it's not really due, I don't mind posers.. they are not worth ranting about honestly.

Oh and one more thing, I had a nice run with a friend in a souped up Acura Integra.. that car is an 11 second car and he gave me a spanking!
When chatted later and he just couldn't stop drooling over the benz, I said to him that his car whipped the AMG pretty good, he shook his head and said
