Hey believe me there's no reason to give me a breakdown of things going on your life that YOU think are amazing. This long elaborate post simply proves the points that were made before. You guys are compensating for something and it's very apparent even in writing.
I see some hypocritical words being thrown around around so:
High Horse: Mocking others for not having an AMG (unlike us here, they are not 'special'), forum seniority (we need some 'thank you' buttons up in here)
Lighthearted Sarcasm: Labeling other people for their financial means, YEARS ongoing
Superior: Again, years of labeling other people as inferior makes us...ummm superior clearly
Inconsiderate: Starting a thread in the wrong forum section, complain when other people point it out
Let me emphasize again, this is a CAR FORUM. You want to bring value to it? Go ahead and answer some of the questions being posted, help out etc etc. Questions go unanswered for days in this subsection yet you guys post away in a thread that's off topic.
As far as forum seniority, it's as infantile as any of the sarcasm in this thread. People leave and join the forum on a daily basis. Very few people have contributed meaningfully by solving problems and coming up with brand new engineering solutions and they are guaranteed not interested in any of the amazing contributions you guys make by posting in this thread. But hey, if you took that AMG badge and stuck it to your foreheads perhaps we'll all recognize what a special bunch you are

Since you can pick up an AMG for less than $30000...many of the posers you claim to dislike so much have bigger wallets than that. The thread says more about you lot than the "posers".
Strangely, on this side of the Atlantic it's you guys who would be the posers...especially those who have joined in on this thread. You guys don't do subtle...imagine having an AMG and debadging it!!

I make fun of posers not because they can't afford an AMG, hell, like someone said earlier, almost anyone these days can afford an AMG. I make fun of posers because they are trying to be something they are not. They are fake, and I can't stand fake people.

I'm with ya! I have an AMG and don't feel the need to advertise. I figure those that would know or care...know. Those that don't...won't give a **** regardless. I LOVE getting all the "what kind of car is that?" questions anyway

Did you stick an AMG badge on your Corolla? I'd rather see AMG badge on your Corolla (which might could show a self deprecating sense of humor) over a fart cannon any day.

I have talked with many MB owners who have the AMG emblem
on a non-AMG model
A large percentage of these owners said that the AMG emblem
was on the car when they purchased it and many said they were
told that it was a "Special Model" by the salesman
Some knew a little about AMG while others are like Sgt. Schultz
and know nothing about AMG
Without positive confirmation that the drivers of these Posers
are the ones who put the AMG emblems on the boot lid is well...
Kind of like the time O.J. Simpson was arrested and thrown in jail
and Time magazine thought he looked too pale
If you have the chance to ask several of these drivers - be polite -
and you will hear it all - and does this look like a driver that would
even think of doing this to his Benz
One that I viewed the AMG was not straight and the driver looked like
Joey Buttafucco sporting a Mr. T starter set - My money says he
put it on
It makes me smile when I encounter one

You would LOVE puerto Rico then! I just returned from Old San Juan where in the space of and hour I saw three MB's, all of them had fake AMG logos on them. One was a gold '06 C320 with an AMG logo...but the others were '14 and '15 SL550's. One had the '0' removed to make it an SL55 AMG.
I mean the 2015 SL550 is just a beautiful, and expensive, vehicle...in San Juan you cannot drive, you just roll through the streets in constant gridlock at 5mph...I saw this same car stuck in traffic on three different blocks as we walked around.
I have to believe that there's a dealer sticking these AMG logos on every car.
