What are your opinions on Mercedes calling the new GLE450 an AMG? I personally hate it. I'm fine with GLE450 AMG-Sport, but I hope they don't slap AMG badges everywhere and keep stressing it's an AMG.

Unless they are renaming products on the basis of Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG, then some Mercedes-Benz products have an AMG nameplate to indicate the AMG sport package/focus. Either way I'm having major anxieties and I hate change

I have AMG wheels on my E550. Salesperson told me it was part of the Premium II package that included bigger wheels. No badge, though. When I have AMG on the car, it will be because it is an AMG. I totally get this.

AMG wheels on regular Mercedes with AMG sports package is generally palatable. What is frowned upon here is when people go to source AMG badges to compliment the boot of their non AMG cars. Now that is going beyond the borderline. A definite thumbs down in my book.

If we are only talking trunk badge I have to agree .nothing worse than hearing some say I just smoked an amg benz .how ever my car was ordered from the factory with sport package and yes the under side of the rear bumper is stamped amg aswell as the spare tire wheel 5 spoke amg and all the expensive *** grill mesh amg as well. Should I sell my car becuase I'm a poser I have s500 on my trunk lid and that's it

They aren't slapping on AMG badges, only a small one on the front fender to indicate it is an AMG sport model. They will keep the nomenclature AMG-Sport thankfully
