M-bENZ, can you say smooth operator?
No more CEL, engine hesitation or high idling!
After installing the new MAF the CEL was still on so I drove it to the nearest autozone to use the OBD ll reader. I turned the car on enough where the dashboard lights up, connected the reader and received the same code
So I erased the code and ran it again...all while the dash is still lit. So then I thought hhmmm it's still grabbing the same old code...so then I cleared the reader again, disconnected it from the car....turned the car completely off, reconnected the reader, turned the car on and it came back with a PASSED reading! ahhhhh finally I am back!
It was the MAF all along...it was just bad. I'm good to go now.

What is the deal with all the MAF's? I guess Mercedes should have done a better job on them?

Awww thanks a lot man. The Lexus is just in its own class...really. Can you name any other automaker that combines Luxury, performance and innovative technology at very affordable cost like Lexus? uhhh no. I'm going to look for that article that I read a while back about Daimler-Chrysler. The CEO or head honcho if you will was voicing his concerns about the quality of its cars. Now remember, I really haven't considered a Mercedes until the over priced IS F was out of my price range. The IS F is about 15k over priced in my opinion. Had it came at a price of 50k msrp then it would have had a considerable edge over the M3. Especially when you compare the interior of each car. The Lexus is just better in that regard...I know I know...looks are subjective and I'm entitled to my opinion
Performance wise, I am sure they're neck and neck. I love driving my wives car after driving the CLK...the 350 is very torquey while the CLK 55 kicks **** at around 85+ mph ![devil](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/devil.gif)

I guess that comment about engineers was about me just so you know I am a blue collar worker I don't get dirty and don't break a sweat but I get paid very well for what I do I won't tell you exactly what I make but it is xxx,xxx so buying a used AMG is not going to break the bank I could buy a new CLK but I can't see spending that much money on something that will be worth 1/2 a year later. So thank you for looking down on all of us regular non millionaire people and have a nice day.

Jaguar STR
Started off as a pretty interesting topic, to bad negative comments pulled it off topic. Its always interesting to see what people are into outside the boards.

Engineers are pretty smart...we do things like know how to work numbers...save and invest better than most. Many engineers actually make more than their bosses. Managers are easier to find than talented engineers. Good ones are worth their weight in gold, and many are paid like it. When I worked in the Medical field, the best cars in the parking lot were the engineers. Porsche, MB, BMW, Ferrari, you name it.
