i'm gonna say the most popular choice of lowering springs are "H&R"...most of the folks around the board use them...i believe they run about $500 or so brand new...and i do believe they can be used with the stock shock setup...do a search for it, i'm sure u'll get some feedback...

If H&R are installed... will you lose the great stock comfort?

Front and rear H&Rs installed without any noticeable change in the ride. They will lower your car about 8-9 tenths of an inch which (IMHO) makes the car look a lot better. BTW, I'm still using OEM 17" AMG rims with the new Eagle F1 A/S all season tires.

imho, you lose more comfort when you upgrade to larger rims and less tire profile..

lowering your vehicle 1.2" isnt gonna let you feel a great diffrence with the stock rim/tire setup.

lowered an
inch will increase spring rate about 10% and if you keep oem rims the biggest difference with the drop will be the negative camber you will need to correct with a good hunter machine alignment at the dealer.
