Hey guys... Im finally ready to get wheels for my 2005 CLK 55... so my question is.. should i go 19's or 20? yes it is my daily driver.. but i only drive about 10 miles a day. If i go 20.. will they rub when i hit a bump? the new sl comes with 19 and it looks sweet.... help!

i just looked under the wheel well of the front tires and theres a black cylinder rubber part right above the front wheel... it doesnt looks like a 20inch wheel could fit or it will rub against it. any help guys?

I think people aren't pushing the limits enough on wheels! 19's come stock on new cars! Why wouldn't 20's with a thin tire fit just fine?

for a daily driver I would go with 19's

QUESTION
If i get alloy wheels with a MACHINED LIP can i leave them on during the winter? im under the assumption that road salt only damages polished and chrome wheels.

I would suggest 19" for daily and looks great with a nice drop If you want to go 20" we can make a fitment not to rub but will be very close to it due to tires

20" and 21" wheels fit great on a SL but CLK overall diameter wont cut it. Tires and wheels would be better priced also in 19"

hey COR...i do not plan to drop the car.. i live in NYC.... the fossils are a winner in my book. How wide can i go in the rear? 10.5? whats the damage for 19". Also i prefer a machined lip.. polished or chrome is a hassle to keep clean as a daily driver.

19's. but whatever you decide make sure you lower the car as well otherwise it's going to look like a 4x4

i do not plan on lowering the car.. but i guess 19" with low profile is only 1 inch up... i dont think it'll be too bad
