2005 clk55 for sale questions
Hello
I have been sort of looking and considering buying a 2005 clk55.
I came across this ad
http://jeff-gordon-chevrolet.ebizaut...px?iid=3976305
and the same car on autotrader:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=260345320&dealer_id=478000&car _year=2005&doors=&systime=&listingCounter=4&model= CLK55&adModel=CLK55&search_lang=en&style_flag=1&st art_year=2005&keywordsrep=&keywordsrep=&keywordsfy c=&keywordsfyc=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&search_ty pe=both&distance=0&min_price=&rdm=1238814529834&dr ive=&marketZipError=false&advanced=y&fuel=&listing Priority=20&keywords_display=&end_year=2005&showZi pError=n&make2=&certified=&engine=&adBodyStyle=&pa ge_location=findacar::ispsearchform&body_code=0&tr ansmission=&ct=c&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileag e=&address=15131&color=&sort_type=priceDESC&adMake =MB&max_price=&awsp=false&adClassSeries=CLK_CLASS& make=MB&seller_type=b&num_records=25&cardist=435>
What do you guys think about this deal?
This car has aftermarket tint and wheels. Do you think that makes it less desirable?
Anyone know of this car, perhaps it was a forum member? It had two owners as shown on the car fax. Does that car fax look normal?
Isn't there a mercedes AMG service guy that reads these forums? The car fax report reveals it has a new seat, new tire, new mirror, and valve body work. Sounds like alot. Isn't valve body work internal engine work? It also had suspension work and stablizer part work.
Sounds like this car may have been driven hard or raced? what is a commercial lease?
any advise is appreciated.
John

your link didn't work... I am willing to take a look, but you are on west coast, I am in PA.
Plus your asking price is high. Don't want to be confrontational about value. It is your car. Mods almost always hurt value, unless you find that one person that sees it as a plus.....I am a stock kind of person.
So, having said that I hope you find a person that will love your car.

Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, Aston Martin, Chevrolet
Try and drive down the price, however that is a good example considering it is a coupe and it has the quad pipes rather than the single set on the left. Also that interior color is one you don't see everyday so thats a plus.

I just sold my 2003 CLK55 with 63k miles for 19k (So it can give you an idea about pricing). It was extremely clean. Try buying a 2005 so you can have the newer interior, quad exhaust and 18 inch wheels.
