A good spring & shock combo will make a significant difference. Eibach springs w/ bilstein sports should give you improved handling without too hard of a ride. The Euro springs are also an excellent solution if you want to drop the car about an inch but still give it that OEM feel.

I think it depends on what your goals are.

What would you like to change regarding your current setup?
Will you be tracking this car?
Will this upgrade be for show car purposes only?

Most importantly, what is your budget?

Euro springs really are an amazing setup. If you want to keep OEM feel and drop the car for a sportier look & ride without being too rough then going with a bilstein HD or sport shock on OEM springs (with lower spring pads if you like) really is the best way to go.

If you want to track in, H&R is the only real way to go (but the drop can be a bit excessive for some people).

Has anyone just tried the old school method of just cutting the amg coils?? Im not talking with a torch, but maybe half a coil with a cutoff wheel? I just hear alot of buzz about wanting this lower stance and lets face it... most are not seeing any real track time to worry about the geometry. Comments??????

Just get the lower springs, they aren't that expensive (low 200s). Plus you can adjust the spring pads at the same time if you like. Cutting springs never yields good results. If you shorten the spring travel you have to increase the spring rate to compensate otherwise you will bottom out more. Plus cutting springs can usually harm ride quality as well. Best to do it the right way

I will be tracking the car! I was thinking about KW suspension.

I was also thinking about the swaybars?

budget is not a question

Cut H and R springs,No pads,Cut and modified/welded lower control arms = rear suspension links,Notched and cut sub frame and body, Relocate gas lines and charcoal/evap canister=lines, remove wheel well plastic stuff, Too much to list! Factory alignment is possible but ALOT of work! Tucking 18" wheels. my car sits 2 1/2 inches off the ground at rear rockers! Anybody want real low,it's alot of work!
