S4 or keeping the CLK
Now my 209 is showing its age (almost 90k miles) It has been flawless except heated seat is no longer working (and out of warranty). But I do miss not having navigation, convenience of 4 doors and AWD (owned a STi)
S4 is looking really good in my book now, but I am struggling.
CLK wins
S4 is very exclusive, but it is still no AMG.
S4 is powerful, but is still no where close to AMG W209.
S4 is functional and good looking, but is not sexy like AMG.
In my opinion, MB is one up to Audi in brand image. I feel like I am walking backward in my automotive evolution by going to Audi.
S4 wins
S4 is factory certified until 100k miles, even AMG has been reliable for the past 90K, I already lost my heated seat.
S4 is AWD, and CLK is "less than ok" with snow tires in Chicago, especially in the suburbs.
S4 is offering .9% financing with CPO, I get a newer car, with full coverage until it's 100k mark.
Lastly, I have a dog, and 4 doors is just more practical for him.
So discuss away, I value all your opinions.

obviously C63 is the ideal choice for anyone looking for a fast sedan but for op he will probably need to add quiet a bit of cash on top of his CLK 55 to get a C63. If financial situation allow get a C63 theres no other car in the price range that feels and drives the same.

S4 aint bad at all, if you are buying new though, your V8 S4 is going to plummet in value with the supercharged one comes out.
Out of the V8 S4's I drove, they just seem to not have the *****(to be blunt) of the CLK55.
On the positive side, the ONLY car I will rent when in europe are the S-Line Audis. They are simply the BEST "toy" when throwing it around in the mountains on the way to the slopes.
i might be looking at a 135i in a couple of years. Two door 2002 remake that is rocket fast.
