i see what they are trying to do with the retro look like Mustang, Challenger, and Camaro.......looks like the old gullwing but modern. I think the wheels and the ride height affect the look tremendously. In motion it looks much better.

2002 CLK 55 AMG Coupé
The attendees at the AMG Diving Academy dinner at Nurburgring got a treat on Monday - a mars red SLS taped up here or there (as this was pre-release) but nonetheless an SLS! The car is GORGEOUS inside - great work on the leather and all the trim is real metal or carbon fiber. It's plenty roomy - a guy in our group who is six foot ten inches could get in it and even be comfy. The gullwing door is well made - shuts with a satisfying sound.
We all know the technology is great.
So anything not to like? Well, the front half of the car doesn't match well the back half. Actually the front half is more like three-quarters. The hood is so long and the driver sits so far back it will be a challenge to drive in city traffic. On the track, it will be another story....

Somehow, I just don't like it.
It's full of technology, the gullwing throwback that speaks to the MB heritage, but that front throws me off. To each his own, I suppose.

Wow, beautiful car! I love how low slung it looks. The lower beltline really makes it look like a legitmate sports car.
