The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I've still got issues to sort out with the shop. And they are bending over backwards to resolve. Big thanks to MW for taking care of me.
That aside..... it has monstrous power! I've had mustang strokers, blown combo's, and a bolt-on 1st gen firebird which were all legitimate low 12 sec street cars...... BUT this thing is a diff ball game.
You can cruise around like normal, and stay under the radar.... then when you lay into it... well you better have both hands on the wheel.
Vids to come later.

cant wait to see some vids and drag slips!
It'll be right when they are done with it, then fun time begins.

Had a good chat with PTE today.... he's kind enough to divulge his mods and tips/tricks.... I'm basically slowly building a version of his ride.
Heck I have his wheels/tires
... and they look sweet.Paint came out nice too.
I'll post up some pics/vids when it's all done and back in my shop.
I've got a go-pro suction cup cam too.... so I'll have some fun with it (on a road in mexico).... we're a short drive from the border.

I'm using maximum restraint against unleashing some thoughts about this experience publicly, until I get this worked out.
Everyone I consulted about this project said MW in Houston is a quality shop, I'm giving them time to do some quality work.
If this was my daily driver, I could never have gone this route.
I'm going to leave it at that for now, if I get the car in the next week and it works properly, I'll be happy and move on.
Thx for all the tech support from all you AMG gear heads.
Cheers.

On another note.... I just got to test drive a Black Series CLK at my local benz dealership..... it was cool to A/B it with my wifes C63 (w/pp) and my blown CLK55-K...... and here's a few observations in my 20 min drive:
1. Can you daily drive a BS?.....YES. I had the wrong impression that the BS would be too rough for dd status... I was wrong. It actually rides better than my wifes 09C63 with the Perf Pkg. I could totally dd this car.
2. Power - seat o pants.... felt same as the C63 and quite a bit slower than my clk55K.
3. COOL FACTOR - it was everything I dreamed of in person and under my control regarding all the wow stuff....... it has been and is even more my dream car. The total pkg or performance and exclusiveness.
When faced with the specter of trading in my recently kleemanized CLK55 for this $84K beast..... I'll probably just keep playing with my kleemanized clk with coil overs and bigger brakes, but it sure is fun to dream.
Had I NOT bought my clk55..... I'd be all over this.
Cheers.
