HP/TQ difference between 02 vs 03 CLK55
Whats up fellas,
Would you know if its the same or different ? I believe the body style changed for 03.

2003 CLK55
Yes the body style changed in 2003 from the W208 to the W209. Horsepower did go up but I believe weight also increase a little so the performance of each model stayed pretty much the same.

According to the MBUSA website, there was no W209/55 cabrio for model year 2003. The first year for the W209/55 cabrio was 2004, and it got the same motor as the 55 coupe.
Indicentally, the W208 cabrio (non-55) was still made for model year 2003.

AFAIK, the compression ratio was increased to 11:1 (from 10.5:1) and there may have been some slight intake/exhaust differences. Also, the redline was upped slightly.

Well with no 55 vert offered I guess it stays a simple answer. Too many left over 208 vert parts?? LOL
