So are these services really that important they need to be done at dealership?
Most of this stuff we can check ourselves! I wonder if we do the work we can just have them reset the milage timer!

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
You can do

all of them yourself.
Even reset the service lamp.
Oil change with mobil1 0w40 syn and fleece filter is easy using a topsider extractor.
Filters at www.autohausaz.com
Fluid changes and coolant are also easy if you can follow diy instructions.
Most every diy should be on the forum or other forums that run the same engine platform M113

Should be in the owners manual

You have one?
If not I can get you a link to one or someone here will have the reset procedure takes about 20 seconds.

  1. Turn the electronic key in the steering lock to position 2.
  2. Using the lower left hand buttons on the multifunction steering wheel, select the trip odometer and main odometer.
  3. Press the upper left button the multifunction steering wheel (up button) until the flexible service system display appears (service is due in xxxx miles).
  4. Press and hold the R button on the instrument cluster for about 5 seconds.

    The multifunction display will display:

“DO YOU WANT TO RESET SERVICE INTERVAL? –
    CONFIRM BY PRESSING R”
  5. Release the R button.
  6. Now press and hold the R button again until a signal sounds.
The message “SERVICE INTERVAL HAS BEEN RESET” will appear in the multifunction display. The distance until next service will be reset to 10 000 miles.
