Are you asking about
a transmission or a gearbox as something to stow your gear in?
TThe dealer is probably right on with the stowage box price
Dealer transmission price is over 5grand before install.

LOL!!!
No not the transmission. The gear shifter. P/R/N 1-5 Gears. It gets stuck in the morning and won't go into reverse. It only starts shifting when it warms up.

the shift module.Could be the brake switch or the module or a leak at the o ring electrical connector on the trans or a shifter bushing.
Was it diagnosed as the shift module?
If it was Autohausaz.com might quote one they run about 450 new and 200 used from the mb wrecking yards.

Well I replaced the stop light switch which fixed a few things. There was a leak but I never really had it looked into. All they said is there was a leak. After the light switch it started acting up. I mean it shifts once it's warmed up. but still has problems going back into park...
