This is not the cheap plastic emblem you saw on Ebay or anywhere else. It was selling crazy before, now I decided to start selling them again.

I have 2 sizes of the emblems. one is 45mm and the other is 61mm. both will fit on w209. check it out:
There are 2 sizes, both can be fitted on a W209
This is how it looks like for the small one:
Installed on a W209 (Small one)
You have to take off the black plastic thing, then use the screw that comes with the emblem to install
How it looks like for the big one

You can just install it with one screw (comes with 2). I've test fit it. It held really tight on the hood.

Thanks for the PM, however, the internal structure of the W209 hood is vastly different from that of the W208 shown in your photo.
The clearance between the hood and the radiator center core support is minimal on the W209, and leaves no room for the long stud you have shown. The shorter screw solution that you show would require modiifing the hood sheet metal doubler in order to work.
I would rather keep my W209 hood sheet metal totally stock, and spend the extra money for the factory part which is engineered to fit the W209.
