hi everyone, i am new to this forum. i was wondering what some of your inputs were on getting new front brakes. i just got a used clk55 2001 and my front brakes are worn out so i took it to an autoshop and they tell me i have to switch the whole brake pads, rotor, and calipers on the amg brakes. is this true? he was referring to not just my car but all amg brakes. but one of the workers said the owner just doesnt like resurfacing the rotors and thats why he wanted me to get the whole brake package. any input would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Be sure that the shop inspects the rubber seals of the pistons inside the calipers. The brakes are over 10 years old now and should be inspected at the very least. They should be ok, but why take the chances on brakes.

Go with the Hawk ceramic pads. Less dust and doesnt eat up the expensive rotors.
i was wondering if there were other brakes with less dust. i would think they are a lot more expensive than the stock pads
