Renntech Airbox/AFE air filter install
My overall reveiw for this product is pretty good considering the price I paid for the airbox, I found it locally on craigslist for a great deal. I would not reccomend paying full price for this item, as I feel there is such a better design that can be created (ie: needswing).
Anyways as far as performance goes I definatly think I gained a couple ponies in the top end as well as a little tq down low. As well as a little under the hood grunt. I do realize I really need a tune to reap total benefits but the gain was nothing like I was expecting.
I did gain about 1mpg on my daily commute (about 30 miles) which is a plus.
The next mod will be a secondary cat delete and exhaust, hopefully its a more noticable mod.

I installed this on our ML500 and watched the LTFT's go up as a result to 1.06/1.06.... so it does add air and fuel over the base map which is good.
The only way I could tell it added power was if you took it off and put the stocker back in place it was noticably down on power.
If you mpg went up..... perhaps it's lean... I would check your fuel trims with a OBDII reader or star just to be on the safe side.
I"m sure your fine, but pc of mind is good.
On a side note, I just noticed my clk has the dreaded valeo radiator still in it at 90k miles!!!! This worries me big time!!!! Should I be worried, if im not experienceing any symtoms?
