New to us...CLK55 AMG!!!
Hi All,
We just bought this over the weekend. 03 w/53K miles. We hope to get many years of satisfaction from it. Don't know what all to look for yet but it is going in for a full inspection this week. So far we are absolutely in love with this thing and man what a freeway rocket she is.

Congrats, and welcome to the AMG family! Love those wheels.
The one big item to look for - Valeo radiator. You can search the forum and find out all about it. Other than that, our CLK has been extremely reliable.

Hi Y'all,
Thanks for the welcome. I hope to be around here quite a bit. This little hot rod is for the girlfriend, we also have a C5 Corvette. So far after a week of ownership we really like this thing. The only issue I can find is that the passenger seat heater switch is inop. Any guesses??? Thanks for the info on the radiator, I have actually been investigating this and will be inspecting ours this weekend during her mega-detail.

Unfortunately, it is integrated in the cover itself, so that will have to be replaced. It is quite expensive.

Never served, nor flew one. Just an extreme Tomcat fan! I still think they made a big mistake in retiring her so early, and a bigger mistake in not taking advantage of the upgrades that Grumman proposed for all those years with the Super Tomcat. The Tomcat finally got the engines she was designed to have from the beginning, they converted far too few to D, then they retired her.
So you're in Rhinos now?

Congrats on the clk man what a timeless design. This and the e39 m5 seem to look better with time.
