Ran this for many years. Fun event but if your vehicle is stock (or there abouts), you will be nowhere near 200 due to the safety equipment requirements.

Yeah, 1st first class limits 110mph (max peak I think is like 124mph). Need multi-point harness belts and roll cages as speed tiers get higher. Pretty serious mods for a daily driver.

I used to race unlimited and have watched too many friends either die or be involved in very serious accidents.

May race again but unlikely.

I thought they had a strong safety record (thus the safety equipment requirements and limited access to higher speeds for rookies)?

To be honest, people that try to get around safety rules were not and are still not welcome.

I remember about 10 years ago someone did that and I believe the car got impounded and they may have spent some time in jail.
