CLK63 Black is it maxed out??
Upon arrival I heard that Benx had gotten every last bit of power out ofthe motor and what the tranny could handle.
I am getting older and slowing down, driving a 4 door but still have the 65 in the garage. Thinking about grabbing one to just run around and have a little sunday fun in but I cant fdrive anything that doesnt run in the 3's.
Has anyone modded one and gotten any substantial gain, not just a loud exhaust I mean a car that moves?

the things that are available do they make significant different difference like half a second or more like .2? i have seen way too many people waste so much money making their boat or car make more noise and feel faster cause they know they changed something the dyne and the stop watch ended up saying its faster, a fraction, 10 or 20 k for a fraction.is silly
any info appreciated, i always loved the black but if i am going to be bored with it in five mins and after mods same its not worth wasting the time

They are not maxed out from factory. Long tubes and tune would knock of a half a second I would say, conditions same at least.. Or if money is no object, Weistec supercharger will make it crazy.
Jcart is running 10second 1/4 mi's and trapping well over 130mph.

Thanks giys i thing you comvinced me i jut remember that comvo way back when they said mb squeezed every last bit of breath out of this thing and even if the granny wouldnt handle. Guess some peoe found new parts ro make new ecus to work.
My mechNic says he is the only slr tech at the dealer and does most of the 65's he says a day he smiles is a day he comes to work and clk black is on the rach he says the funnest benz to drive of them all.
One more question, i swear i have seen some with heated seats was there Ny options besides color? Someone else said Av was optional ???
Guess one for sale on this forum is sd guy never responded i got line on two more.

a buddy of mine actually took the risk and put one of those hydrogen mods in his benz. he's claiming he gets five more mpg's but i'm still weary of drilling holes into my car. how bout you?

Lots of information available...try using the search key or go to the clk black series sub-thread. These engines are now putting out 1,000 HP so I wouldn't say they are max'd from the factory at 500.
