Looking to buy a clk 55
The M113 55 is rock solid. If you've ever owned a 911, a CLK55 is as solid as the moon. As dependable as the tide. 100K is nothing on a well maintained M113. The key is 'well maintained'.
The plugs should have been changed at the 5 year mark ($75 in parts), the transmission fluid should have been changed at least once (my local dealer charges under $300), motor mounts are normal wear items (and yes if they are original, they are due by now - $160 for OEM parts, $65 for aftermarket), MAFs are not so normal - but they wear out too ($150 part), the o-rings on the oil cooler eventually will start to weep and the valve cover gaskets will eventually need replacing. If you know how to do the work yourself, none of this is expensive. If you drop it at a good indy, it's still pretty inexpensive. In fact, one set of factory front brake discs may be more expensive than all the parts previously listed. Brakes and tires will probably be your two most expensive maintenance items - especially the front brakes.
It sounds like you're interested in a cab (no US spec coupes were imported in 2006). If so, the cab guys will have to talk to you about the dependability of the roof hydraulics. Being a coupe guy, I honestly have no idea how the cab roof holds up
I hope that helps.
