I gotcha. I wish I had the funds to go to the track. I went to Road Atlanta once with my C55 before the supercharger and it was a blast and I've just not had the chance to be able to go back. I also went to the drag strip a lot the following year and haven't been able to do anything else.
4 hrs seat time per session is going to be nuts. Auto crossing was work 2hrs drive 4 mins.

Betrezra,
What color C5Z you get? Always wanted a yellow, but found the black with mod red interior and fell in love.
Also, do you know if the guy who bought it will part it out or keep it all together? All said and done would you do it again?

Nacht- I got elec blue.
The clk was a fun journey. It kept me interested for 4-5 yrs.
I did not break any performance records, but I learned a bit, and met some great people in this hobby.
IMHO.... You are better off buying a e55..... Then install pulley tune.

Nero--- still have the turbo itch..... But my brother is getting one... So I'll get some seat time in it before I decide.
I got the road racing bug. Z06 is best way to get started.
I might be joining local track. It's a 2 mile track with 17 turns. Only 45 mins from my house.
Once you join you can race most everyday as long as you want.
Loving the blue. My last z wax black.
You guys are true car friends..... Thx for all your help along the way!

I'll close my posting here guys with a quick update on my 1st drivers training session in the Z06..... awesome! I've never run a car on a long sweeping right hander @ 80 mph... using throttle to steer a car before. What a blast.

Man I saw this on ebay a few days ago. I was itching to buy it, only if I didn't have my clk550 which I'm putting for sale as well.

Well, I just joined. I have been reading up on the w208 &209 on these forums and I think I bought betreza's car. Must be. Im a tad embarrased on what they charged for it but I know much more was invested. I have three days to check it out and make sure I want to keep it or exchange for a different car in their inventory. Should I be afraid of the actual book value and the fact they wanted 23k for it? Any and all advice appreciated. I wish I got it before the delear did but thems the breaks. Beautiful car. Lastly, im in the Atlanta area so if I do keep it. I imagine i will. I will be running around the area in one mean clk. thanks

Wow, he must have traded it in then. I'm surprised they would have sent it to the auction (only way I could figure it ended up for sale in GA). A lot of cool cars usually stay in Texas. That's where the CTS-V I wanted that sold days before I got my C55 sold to buy it was. Crazy.
EDIT: I guess it was for sale in Texas.

I think I bought it from the same delearship where he got his corvette. In Texas. They are supposed to be shipping it to me here in ga.
Thanks for the input and welcomes.

Looks that way, the eBay ad is definitely betrezra's car. I don't really think you overpaid (although you could have probably paid what the dealer did had you seen it for sale on here first). You definitely couldn't build it for that money and on top of that, you have a very well taken care of car that you know a lot of the history (and that's worth a lot to me). Good luck with it! You should have an enjoyable experience with the car since Kleemann ironed out the supercharger on this car.

Very cool, thanks 91. Yes knowing that the radiator, alt, moto mounts, etc have already been taken care of As well as the other fluids and just the love that went into it like I would with my custom builds is worth a lot in itself. I had been car searching for a month or 2 and was considering bmw 6's , corvettes , and Mercedes Benz sl's slk's clk's etc. when saw his car listed it certainly grabbed me. I'll have to accept that I wolnt ever get a great return on it but I think and hope it will be a reliable crazy fast fun car to own for a while. Thanks again I'll probably continue the build story a little bit I want to add a factory navigation command unit if it's not hard to wire up. Maybe some suede on the armrest too depending on how well I can get the end result to look.

Ooze - Yes that appears to be my old car.
I put alot of blood sweet tears into her. Enjoy her in good health.
I spared no expense on this build, and always installed MB parts.
Enjoy her. I'm glad an enthusiast got her.
Cheers,
Jeff

Thanks Jeff, yes she will be well cared for. Im pretty excited to see how she feels. Im supposed to receive her friday. Im afraid the salesman/car place made a mint on me. Of course I couldn't recreate it for the money it cost I read through your build here a couple times everything looks super. Sounds like I should keep an eye on the motor mounts. Understandable. Anything else I should keep an eye on other than usual fluids? It's a really cool, or the coolest looking clk I have seen. Next to the clk gtr vroom. Thanks ,
Erin

Damn been a while since I've skimmed through the boards and I came here to say I saw your recent update on drag times and was glad to see you finally made it to the track and now reading through here I'm sad to see you sold the beast.
I don't live too far from you and would of loved to meet you at the track one day to help with some launches since I ran a 13.1 stock. It was both your launch and my guess the adaptive transmission. I don't know how many runs you did but the times would of kept improving each run as the transmission would adapt to the more aggressive driving at the track or a quick reset would of improved it from the get go if you didn't do that when you arrived at the track
Congrats on selling it so quick but you practically gave it away at that price!! Parting it out would of done you much better if you were patient. I would of drove by and pointed out each thing I wanted and then pulled out a calculator for my total picking that car apart

Oooze - be sure to keep this thread alive with your experience in this car (if you wish).
>>> I was truly humbled with my driving skills @ Circuit of Americas........ ***** of a technical track.... with alot of traffic...... slow people in front... and CRAZY fast people on my azz.... I'll post up pics/vid later (if you can stand some GM footage)...... lots of amazing cars at this event.... lambo's... ferrrari.... pcars, vipers...... etc... etc........ and some VERY very good drivers. I have alot to learn.... but I did not breakdown or wreck or even spin..... so time to train.
