2004 CLK55 Kleemann Build
Awesome! Love the new look, Could you post some more pics of the blacked out headlights? I considered doing that to mine but not sure if I'll like the look on my black benz. Like some contrast to the car rather than black everything out.

Thx Gents.
Here's another sideshot.
Paint guy did a pretty good job matching the new front clip. Matte colors are hard to match. With my flash I can tell a light diff..... but in person looks same. So I'm good.
Don't have the rear susp done yet.... so this is with front H&R springs, H&R sway, and front Koni Yellows with front BBK.
With my car down for 2 mo's.... I'm in no hurry to climb under for the rear susp for a few weeks.

Beautiful and potent,
I painted cars for a Macco while tending college and can imagine how hard it would be to match a matte finish.
The body would have to be perfect and ultra fine scuffed @ the final finish coats, We utilized matte for discovering body flaws prior to hand blocking. Amazing trend and result.

Thx Gator.
Troubleshooting my psg side xenon h/l is not pointed to the ground..... illuminating only 5' from the bumper..... suspect the headlight autorange adjuster that connects to my new hr swaybar is out of adjustment......... Do I just move the arm adj around until psgr headlight is same height as driver side?
On another note.... left my fogs on...... was oodling them last night... and left them on over night...... so perhaps autolevel get's funky with low system voltage.... car on charger now.... so will try agian with full volts on system.
Played around with adj on koni yellows up front...... tightened all down for max stiffness..... and real big diff from totally soft setting..... I left it in the middle for now.

Your going to have to readjust the centering of the auto aim system after the rear suspension mod.
I would (aft bat is up) tweak them and unplug them until the rear suspension ride height is established.
My 02 W208 does not have this option but my W124 Turbo diesel wagon has a hydraulic auto leveling system, It turns the road into a piece of glass. Tweaking it is the same for headlight alignment.
1/4 times coming?

Hami,
yea, yea, yea, LOL
Your on, This is Betrezas thread but I have been curious about my own standings in a well seasoned 208 55 AMG. I doubt getting close to 11.9 like your 05 but we will see.
I am going to put a timing chain in first (next weekend maybe), trying to take it easy on a well proven engine.
It has been about 20 years since serious bracket racing in street and modified classes in the 10's 11's. and about 10 years since putting together a competitive circle track car.
I am not that old but did pull my back out today working on one of the many AC sensors.
I will check with Orlando Speedworld and see whats next. Fun, Fun, Fun

we'll see when things cool down this fall. I'll leave the 10 sec goals for you monsters.
I'm just building a fun toy.... and trying to keep it together long enough to enjoy.

looking forward to new pics with the 63 bumper and that beautiful paint job. They had a member who put on a carbon fiber lip from a 500/55 bumper like you have on his 63 bumper. It wasn't a perfect fit but it looked good and better than nothing. The only guy I've seen who had a 63 non bs lip was that guy from asia but I sent him a pm and he didn't care to share where he got it from
Impressive quarter mile time in your sig. 12.1 is what some have ran with a supercharger and you're doing it n/a

), there's no way I'll come close to the off-the-line performance of an FI 55. Watching Weistec with anticipation just like you brother!
Good to see you back in the saddle and looking better than ever to boot. Any thoughts on possible new shoes yet? I Love the SLK rims, but maybe something with more space between spokes to show off those new brakes!

Thanks Dre!
I might shop for some LW wheels later... but right now I"m running down gremlins...... zenon autolevel not working....... ran STAR no codes.... so we'll see.
And now drivers side rotora bbk rotor is making a shimmy ......hopefully not warped...... we'll see........ trying to trouble shoot after I get home from an 11 hr day at the office..... so lim time.....
These BBK's STOP the CAR in an amazing dramatic way!!!! holy cow...... feels like a go-cart.
Also from my little bit of road testing in 95 deg F heat.... the upgrade h/e is doing a fine job. I see no drop in power after several back to back pulls. More to come.

Car looks great. I would of painted the chrome the same color as the car since you were getting the bumper painted anyway. How did you fix the washer fluid container? Did you have to replace it with a whole new one? I'm having the same issue
Yeah that's all he's missing, it looks a bit naked with out it. The car needs a carbon fiber mustache

So finally got the brakes in and car running.... and used rotora kit I bought has seriously warped rotors..... I'll call rotora tomorrow for pricing on replacement rotors .
Also Xenon's stopped autolevelling.... I've got a new set of lights coming, I'll transfer over the black backing plates and have nice shiney new lenses and working level.

I had a similar experience with my CLK63 brakes. Three of the rotors got damaged in shipping and, of course, UPS wouldn't pay out enough to cover replacing all 4. Then the front pads were pretty much slap worn out when they weren't supposed to be. I wouldn't have put used pads on new rotors anyway, but that's beside the point. After it was all said and done, I was within a few hundred dollars from the cost of buying everything brand new (which at that point the only thing left used was the calipers, but then I would have had clean new calipers!).

That's not too bad at all. Sucks about the bad luck though. I was talking to the seller but changed my mind because of his attitude. I got burned a few times too so I refuse to pay top dollar for used rotors anymore. They're generally warped.

The Beauty and the Beast,
I have seen that steering wheel design on other posts and wondered which model it stemmed from. Looks like a driveway full of fun.
