How did picking a bumper become so complicated!
Guys,
I was away on a business trip and parked my car in the airport long term. I came back and someone had backed into me cracking my front bumper. I am headed over to the body shop soon to get an estimate on a repair. That said the OEM bumper that is there has two of the middle posts broken, is already missing the valence, replaced once, and frankly I am way over worrying about the valence. As such while I will get an estimate on the repair I am also looking over the horizon at what my alternatives to repairing this bumper are. Obviously replace it (a) with an OEM bumper style or (b) replace it with something else. Regarding (a) while I like the classic OEM look I was never wild about the valence and I may be jaded a bit because I have gone through one now already and always have wanted more fog light coverage. (For about six months of the year, diferrent seasons, I am headed to work when it is dark out and there is often a fair amount of low lying fog, not sure why but it's there) In terms of (b) replacing the bumper there are a wide variety of options out there but some just look like really radical departures from the OEM.
Ideally, I could find something that upgrades the OEM look with a second set of fogs and a fixed valence. As such the search is sending me wildly in other directions: e.g.
1) http://www.myhotmercedes.com/Mercede..._108048/872363#
2) http://www.ilovebodykits.com/product...-_1_Piece.html
At the moment I am kind of leaning in the direction of #2 as a compromise between OEM and the more radical #1. I am looking for alternative suggestions and hearing from anyone who has used these products before and can tell me about their overall quality and fitment. Thanks.

I also found this one, which while it does not have the extra set of fogs, it does have HID fogs which might do the trick:

Or this one from Post #15, SAB:

Again, any thoughts on which of these would blend better with the lines of the CLK 55 AMG's side skirts and rear?

2002 CLK 55 AMG cabriolet Eurocharged
I used to travel for a living fixing process machinery, Its a bummer to leave the pride and joy at the airport parking lot. I drove my blacked out wagon then and hated it.
I would go for black series or kleeman replicas staying to the pro-benz theme. Selection 2 from the first post looks streetable, The e-bay from the 2nd post is awesome as well.
You have to remember the parking blocks and dips in the road/driveway etc...
Cheers, Gator

on the clk 63 bumpers, is there a difference from year to year? For example my CLK 55 has the cut outs for headlight washers, though I can't imagine how they work nor can I even find a button for them, lol, the washer nozzles are there. Also will there be a fitment problem going from a W208 series clk55 bumper to a W 209 series clk63 bumper?

VIS Bumper. Get the Non C63 one as I have heard it fits great with almost no modifcations..
I have owned 2 VIS C63 bumpers... The look is great but the fitment is terrible!!!
PM me and Id love to help you out more if you decided to choose the VIS bumper.

If you like the BR-S and The C63 style as well as the polish guys you will without a doubt like the CLK Sarona Front Bumper the item code is MB-059-FB.
Its a little pricier than the others but it has a hell of a look to it.
City rat let me know what you think and when its all installed and painted post a few pics
