w209 are 37 offset according to this guide so should be ok at 35.

does it matter that the OEM front wheels are 7.5 and the ones I'm looking at is 8.5? if not, what tires size would be fine to run all the way around?? I really don't wanna go lower than a 245 ... :/

8.5 fits in the front but there is not a lot of extra room. I doubt 245 would comfortably fit without guard work. 8.5/9.5 with 235 and 265 appears to be the comfortable limits without going crazy.

ok, but I can't go 9.5 in the rear as the set I found are 8.5's all the way around .... I'd like to go with a non-staggered fit if I can get away with 245 all the way around otherwise I'm not ooposed to to 235 in the front and say 255 in the rears if I can get away with it with no mods, I don't want to do mods .... the set I'm looking at is a set of 18x8.5 Brabus Monoblock V's .... thoughts? thx

The original size for CLK 55 and 63 is 225/40/18 and 255/35/18.
You can go 235 in front and 265 rear (I have this setup on 19")
With 4 18/8.5 ET 35 wheels, I think 225 and 255 is the best setup.

that setup must have changed in 2004 because mine is an 03 and it came stock with 225/45/17 and 7.5 and 245/40/17 and 8.5

you don't think 225 is too narrow for a 8.5 wheel??

I have 225 on my 8.5 in wheel and 255 on my 9.5 in wheel. It's a great fit.

I believe (correct me if i'm wrong) that the CLK55 changed to 18" wheels in 2005. The 2003 and 2004 CLK55 had 225/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear.

I have stock AMG rims, 7.5 front, 8.5 rear, 225 and 255, 18" on my MY2003. They are perfect. If I were going for new wheels I think I would keep the exact same sizes of wheel and tyre for best performance.

Honestly I would look for better sized and lighter wheels, I think you will be worse off for braking, handling and acceleration with those ones. I very much doubt 245 would fit in the front and 265 is getting too wide for a 8.5" rim.

Lighter wheels are definitely the way to go. Especially if you have replica wheels on, changing to lightweight wheels will make your car handle noticeably better.

I'm going with 17" AMG wheels now to 18" Brabus Monoblock V ... the Brabus's are 18x8.5 on all corners with ET35 ...

I think I might go with 235 in the front and 255 in the rears on 8.5 wheels .... Thoughts??

On 8.5" wheels you can put 225 to 255, so you can put 235.
For me 245 is too wide for the front, but 235 is ok.
For rear the only choice is 255 ,)
