Want to Paint Calipers
Any one have their calipers painted? Looking for suggestions on the color. I have a black car with satin charcoal wheels. Mine look terrible so I figured get them painted. Please post pics if you got them.
Thanks!

DiceCedes - as requested, a close up. Apologize for the dirt. I was reluctant to post this pic, but figured if it helps another list member - WTF! This is the dirtiest Gladys has ever been. It'll be 3 months of detailing to counteract a week of having to drive in the rain... Hope it helps.

Thanks again! Definitely going with the orange/copper look.

DiceCedes - on the other thread you indicated you had decided to have them painted at a shop. Interesting. Why did you choose that option? I would think powder coating would make for a stronger finish and bond. The Brembo aluminum casing is the biggest cause of paint chips. It doesn't make for a good bond. But maybe you've got better info than my inferences. Since I'm planning on pulling mine again to have them professionally done I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.

painted calipers
i also went for paint over powder coating for wheels and calipers soley because if u chip powder coating its ruined and has to be completly redone as with paint it can be repaired or so ive been told .

I forgot to respond I had mine painted black on my black over silver cab. Once I get the new wheels I'll see if I still like it. BTW I painted vs. Powder for all the reasons discussed here.

DicesCedes - Looks like you got them painted! Are you pleased with the results? Noticed that you painted the bleed nipple. I removed mine for several reasons, but primarily because I saw others who painted theirs and after awhile the paint began to peel and looked like sh*t! I think you can use Vaseline to strip the rubber piece. More pics please!
