Clk500 to clk55 or clk55k

Hey guys I have been trying to find some threads regarding this topic but I simply can't. My question is, can a m113 from a clk55 or a m113k from e55 fit into an 04 clk500? I have the opportunity to get a clk500 with 140k on the clock for 4K and I know a guy who sells used engines and tranny.
Thanks

None for now
M113 is in the 500, cm60k.

That'll be great if you can swap the M113K in the 500. It'll be one heck of a sleeper!

If it with M113 & 722.6, that will makes it easy,

if you want to go with N/A M113 5.5l,

you will need to put 5.5l Engine, with CLK500 Engine harness, and need a good tuner to reprogram the ECU/E-prom file, to accommodate new more displacement..!

hope i'm NOT wrong..!?!

Just get the ECU from the E55 and use that.

My CLK500 has the 722.9 so it can't handle as much torque as the 722.6 which is why the 722.6 is a much better candidate for the swap (it's the same transmission in the E55). Good luck! Please post pictures/videos/updates of the progress!

If he put E55 ECU, he will need to change the complete EIS/Key infrared, to authorize fire-up, via SDS/DAS system,,

that will add more $$$$$..!!

it wont be easy, but anything is possible. You will end up spending more money making it work and figuring it all out...you have offered people like 7500 for their AMG models, I really doubt you will keep this project under 11k unless you can do all the work yourself

none... for now
That's not how reliable swaps work though as I was explaing to my buddy literally last night.

Lets say your 140k mike CLK gets a 40k mile heart transplant. Suddenly that 140k pumpkin and those 140k axles get hit with 370lb-ft for... well, however many miles untill they give out. How long's your driveshaft going to last? I'm sure that low 13 second CLK also handles like it's on rails with 140k mile worn shocks.

55k swap? Kiss that used drivetrain goodbye.

Fits yes, bolts up yes. Plug and play no. It's not like last generation japanese cars or probably American domestic cars where if it fits, it works. You will have all sorts of coding nightmares.

It can be done but you will need someone who knows what they are doing. Putting a M113 into a CLK500 is 100% not worth it when you can buy a CLK55 which is 100% working with no problems. If you can't afford that, then you can't afford the swap.

M113K is definitely an awesome swap but with even more that can go wrong. Swaps usually lead to problems if they ever get finished. There are some great success stories but 10x more than that are never finished or have on going problems.

2002 CLK 55 AMG cabriolet Eurocharged
I was considering a project like this on one of my W124 wagons making a fake Hammer. A M113 5.0 or better.
I think the 5.5 will fit nice in place of the 5.0 requiring the proper exhaust and a good tuner.
This is a project for DIY for sure. If the ECU is swapped it will require flashing of vin and keys etc. Are the ECU,s the same connection and type?
I would not be afraid to attempt a swap but consult with a tuner like Kleeman, Eurocharged etc...prior

My 2 cents. Gator
