I need some opinions
I've been thinking about dipping my engine cover in carbon fiber. Do any of you guys think it would look good? And if it was a ricer move? (2005 clk55 AMG)

If something looks carbon fiber but isn't, it's automatically rice to me. I'm very much in the minority though, not sure why.

That big plastic cover is unimpressive, and I think that would be the same even if it was carbon looking.


But then I like alloy cam covers from an earlier period so I'm biased...

Who cares what people think? Do you think it would look good. Almost no one but you will ever see it or notice. Do what you feel.

If you do it post pictures so we can all praise/laugh at you.

if its done right and looks like CF and you like the look then why not? I had thoughts of painting it, but I left it alone

I think any other color than the crappy stock color is fine. Dipping it CF? Eh...probably not a good idea. It has a pepboys feel to it that doesn't belong on a Benz. Why not get it professionally painted?

Im not doing it, I got a friend who does these kind of stuff and after seeing pics of his work it looked really nice.
