Perfect Ride Height! (Kinda' Long)

Well, it wasn't easy, but I finally achieved what I believe to be the perfect ride height for my W208 CLK55 coupe. I started by swapping all the pads for #01s with the factory (U.S. spec?) AMG springs. Definitely better than the #02 rear pads and #04 front pads that came from the factory, but still too high for my taste... at least 1.25" to 1.5" all the way around. Then I installed a set of H&Rs (with the #01 pads). WAY too low. No rubbing, but the tires got swallowed up into the tops of the wheel wells with silly looking negative camber all around. Just swapped in #03 rear pads and #02 front pads to lift it all the way around but maintain a slight front to rear rake. It is absolutely perfect! She aligned as true as an arrow with only very slight negative camber. Just about .75" gap rear and .5" gap front. Ready to install my newly acquired 18" staggered Mono IIs with 225/40 up front and 255/35 out back. Then it will be time for a digital camera to post some pics! BTW just traded in the wife's ML320 for a very clean ML55 that showed up at the local dealership... WOW that thing is a BRUTE! More later.

I feel like Fred Flintstone!!! In this digital age, I am probably the ONLY person in the northern hemisphere who has not purchased a digital camera! I know you can now buy those single use disposable jobs with 24 exposures and they give you a disk after processing. I may try that this weekend to get a couple of pics up on the board, but I know I have got to go buy a digital soon.

PICS?

I'll post some of my updated CLK this week. I changed my pads to 1 bump rear and 2 bump front and it really looks sharp!

I was considering the identical set up. Any more pics that show the ride height? Happy with the look as well as the feel? Is it too harsh? How do you like the staggered set up? Any rubbing probs in the rear?

I have the koni's in the softest setting, which gives me a decent ride, not too soft....not too stiff...the car handles great and I have no rubbing at all, unless I brake hard turning left, the front left tire will rub a little, which happened only once.
