Got a 2001 CLK55 last week for fun car

The suspension is very stiff.... any recommendation ? the tires in the back is 265/30/19 so thinking need to use 265/35 next set in the back as well in the front.
It got salvage 3 years ago by the accident but only minor impact.
how do the led tail lights look in person? been thinking about getting them

He will remove and put special lube next week. How much would be if put original W208 bushing ? (need to remove all suspension parts to do so ?)
Next thing to do is the Engine mounts.... Buying a used 21 years old AMG need some Love !

Now found out the oil pan and real main seal are leaking..... $800 for the job. Then need to do engine mounts.... This is getting an expensive toy !

what part was lubed and replaced?
slick ride and definitely be prepared.
hopefully you have a good and fair mechanic
rear mains on these all tend to leak after 90k miles if no more than a few drops parked I wouldn't worry.
oil pan is an easy job I would do oil sender/or atleast gasket while you're in there.
im @192k super solid had a bunch of work done at a shop first time ever and car came back not as hoped haha. All the work seems great but there is what seems like a sublet whirl from driveshaft center link @18mph under slow acceleration and minor vibration @42 mph, but who knows could be tires 😂
I may have no choice but to finally do the fuel pump since quant mentioned it haha
I would definitely recommend sourcing parts from fcpeuro especially fluids if you plan on keeping the vehicle/putting miles on it. Lifetime warranty is a huge plus.
also stay away from the very cheap aftermarket parts if you want reliability. I have had lemforder mounts go bad in less than 10k miles. Have him do your trans bushing while he's in there.
other than that I would consider rear outer control arm bushings easy job and makes a huge difference. Check your read subframe bushings too
Think that really sucks is that a ton of the parts for this car are nearly double the price they were pre pandemic.

The ride is better now but still dont think CLK should be riding with 19" and the rear tires just to thin as low profile (265/30/19) I am thinking to change the wheels to something 18" at 265/35/18 in the future.
As for oil leak, anybody has try this ? Does it help ? CLK55 might need 1.8 bottle (20% of the oil) Is OK for M113 engine ?
Before oil change, it has no oil leaking at all. I was thinking maybe the newer oil is thinner and made it easier to leak.

I replaced my drag link with a cheapo that went bad super quickly and caused me to believe it was tires.
once I get that buttoned up and the wheels
(body/paint ofcourse) she'll be great
as far as additives like that...after years of research I've always decided to just stay away but why not give it a shot.
I've considered running a little thicker oil to reduce lifter noise on startup/idle but I could see how it may reduce rear main drip
especially when it does on the hot exhaust 😂
I've read through nearly every forum here and all the experts say to let her drip if it isn't an issue for ur driveway/garage
but tbh $800 for pan and rear main is a steal if it's good work I'd consider that for sure, check your guibos while you're up there
