Delivery of the CLK55
Will the new CLK55 be released with the other CLK models, or will it be another year before the AMG is out, like on the new E Class?

The key word in the statement from 'awiner' is "usually". Usually the AMG versions come 1 year later. If the SL55 is a 2003 model for the U.S. and come this summer then we will be happy. Except for those of us only dreaming about them - like me.

i really feel sorry for u american folks!
our first consignment of CLK's arrived in april. They included CLK240's in avantgarde and elegance, CLK320's in both as well, and CLK500's in both trims.
My 55 will be here hopefully by mid july!
Along with the CLK will arrive the first consignment of SL55's as well. There will also include a CL63 and a few S63's.
Surprisingly, in this part of the world.. the C32's have a been a major flop. Cant understand why!

I bet it will be at least a year before you see the new clk55 on the street in the U.S. No hard facts here just real world experience. Expect to pay a huge premium and deal with potential new model problems. I never understood why people don't control their emotion and wait an extra year or two. There are plenty of wonderful cars to drive for the next couple of years.
This is why I waited until 2002 to buy a hardly used 2001 CLK55 with 8000 miles. The poor sap that I bought it from owned it for 7 months paid close to $80,000 for it with taxes and sold it to me for $54,500 in April. I will drive it for 2-2 1/2 years and have my pick of the new CLK55, SL55 or whatever I choose and not get taken to the cleaners in the process. Don't get cought up in the hype.

skidz1, I agree with you. Why someone would pay $10-$20k over sticker is beyond me. However, some people have money to burn, want to "keep up with the Jones's" or want to be the first on their block to have it.
