AMG Pedals w/pics

The weather was nice this weekend so I put on the AMG pedals that Santa left in my stocking. It was a pretty simple job mechanically speaking, just a pain to work in the foot-well. I like how they look and the new dead pedal provides more support than the carpet ever did.

Got them from Santa, cough(ebay)cough.

The parking brake & brake pedal have factory rubber covers that just pull off. The gas pedal has a rubber cover that slips off. You must either unhinged the pedal from the floor or just cut off the rubber cover.

The new parking brake cover just slips on. The dead pedal is just screwed into the floorboard. The gas & brake pedals must be drilled for the bolts, nuts & washers that come with the pedals. The brake pedal is metal so you need a metal drill bit.

I think they are aftermarket pedals, though they came in AMG boxes. I'll have to check the boxes for #'s later tonight. I was impressed with the quality of the product. Each pedal is cleanly made, without any machine marks or metal shavings attached. Each pedal has a rubber pad on the back that has raised lengths that push though the slots cut into the metal. They come with all needed hardware.

I'd recommend it

You are correct. They are good knockoffs however. AMG never has made pedals.

Yes, but they are standard MB parts, not from AMG. The Non AMG SLK with the sport kits has always come with them as well as the non AMG SL's.

I have them too and love them. It was like $40 bucks and 15 min to install. They add a nice touch.

I am in Singapore where the steering is onthe other side of the car. Does anyone know if the pedals from ebay will fit. More concerned about the footrest coz that's right against the sidewall.

Thanks...

The pedals will probably fit, but there is no way the dead pedal would fit. There isn't that much room against the sidewall and the cut out would be on the wrong side. If you tried to mount it I would guess that at least 1 inch of the dead pedal would be sticking out.

Thanks for the input. I'll probably give it a pass though, it's gotta all fit together. I'm sure someone somewhere has the European AMG covers...

floor mats

H-Man
Where did you get those CLK55 floormats, I just got the regular AMG floormats ( not impressive ). And within one week, the stiching in the passenger side mat ( no one really sat there either ) started to unravel. I took them out - hopefully the dealership will replace them.
