2003 CLK55
Xenons

Just purchased a 2003 CLK55 w/o Xenons. Local MB dealership quoted $3,000 to swap out the factory lights for xenons! Does anyone know if the xenons kits offered at http://www.hidexpress.com at $499 would work on a CLK55? How hard are they to install? This is my first MB after 2 BMWs and I'd really would like to get xenons for the car. Probably should have bought a car with the xenons already installed but the deal was too good to pass up.

Thanks!

You would really want BI-Xenons... don't buy that after market junk..It will cause errors ... do a search on Steve and he will hook u up with the OEM bi-xenons for 1/3 of that price.....

You can purchase one of our ProLumen HID kits and retrofit it into your halogen housings. The only problem with that is your halogens are reflector based which can cause a nasty glare towards oncoming traffic. The best setup would be to purchase a set of projectors and install HIDs into those housings. Unfortunately at this time there are no aftermarket projectors for your car so OEM would be the best route. In any case, it is an option to consider.
