+ 1 - it looked like he "ALMOST" considered starting it.

Car looks fantastic, I might have to pick one of these up.....

Can't wait to see all the little toys this thing has. If the SLK55 Black Series is any indicator it will be ready for the track.

Woo Hoo
The window sticker on mine was $152K and change. The dealer loaded it up with all kinds of extra stuff which I really liked. Needless to say, I paid a 'little' bit more than window sticker. And..... I don't regret having to do it! When I was 'shopping' for the RS, I called every potential Porsche Dealer in the U.S. that I thought might have one and they told me that their unit was 'Sold' or it was Pre-Sold to a anxiously awaiting customer! Could not find another one anywhere to even use as a bargaining chip!

I'm really getting turned on to the CLK63 AMG with all the hype everywhere and talk on this and other forums. I use to think that Mercedes was for the 'old guard' and BMWs was for the 'young ****s' and yuppie crowd. But when I looked at my S550 and SL550 before I decided to buy them, I saw that Mercedes had 'seen the light' and decided to change their profile. My area Dealer has offered me 'first crack' at the CLK63 and it looks like I might have to take a shot at it! Mags

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
Seats are fine with me, only thing I ....

would like to see would be those 20" wheels like the new S class tht were on the car testing at the 'Ring. The multispokes are nice, but I really prefer the 5 spokes. Yes, I know the 19's are supposed to be forged. Don't care.

well for 135k I would NOT buy an old bodystyle CLK even though it is cool. for 135 K I would like a 911TT. it will be faster but not as exclusive that is for sure.

I own an M6 and just told my Mercedes dealer I want the CLK63 Black. I'm confident I 'll get it but Mercedes required my dealer to explain why I should get the car. They said they're only selling them to people they think are worthy.

Worthy? This is the USA, they can't hold back on selling a car because they don't feel you're worthy. They'd get slapped with a lawsuit faster than an the CLK63 can hit 0-60.

WORTHY? There is no way that I would ever buy a car that I have to prove that I am worthy to buy. I still don't care what Mercedes calls it, it's still a glorified C-class. I can understand Ferrari saying that you have to have owned a Ferrari before you could buy an Enzo. That car is in a world of it's own. If Mercedes wanted to say that you have to be worthy to by an SLR...that would be ok. This is just not that kind of car. I think signing on the line to buy a $130,000+ CLK makes you worthy. Crazy, but worthy.

Yeah, thats a bit weird. I called my dealer yesterday and said I would take one if they'd sell at MSRP and she said no problem. She will call me with the price as soon as she gets it. No question's or proving anything for me. Only car I ever bought from them was a new C55 at invoice

What can I say? My dealer said he needed to write a letter to Mercedes justifying me getting the car. They said it was only for enthusiasts. I better get it. I have bought a CLS55, Porsche Cayenne S, and an Audi Q7 from them in the last year and a half (plus I now have a BMW M6 and have had an E46 M3). If that isn't good enough I'll never consider Mercedes again.

Don't hold your breath. If they were serious, then they would have made you pee in the cup. Sorry.
