Depends what you are looking for and need. Strictly on performance, fun factor, wow factor and looks, there is no comparison. CLK BS wins hands down. But if you need the back seats and want a more useable daily driver (although I enjoy my CLK BS as a DD) at half the price of a BS then stick with the C63.

there's a huge price difference btwn the cars. if you can afford it, go for the black series. i'm sure if they're still sitting at the dealers, you can work out a deal.......

The cars are way different. The CLK63 Black Series is a track car that is street legal. It has a fully adjustable suspension and all systems have been upgraded for the demands of track driving. The C63 is primarily a road car that can be taken to the track on occasion but it will certainly stress the car.

question: turning off traction control on the CLK63 BS, is it fully off or is it only semi-off?

Like others have already stated, ther is no real comparison in performance, but if this is going to be your only car or primary driver the C63 offers come obvious advantages, the biggest being the back seat.

If a back seat is not important, then it should come down to personal preference. The C63 is only a few mods away from being able to equal the HP of the Black Series, and lets be honest, the C63 is no slouch in it's stock form either...still more HP that the majority will ever need or use. If you feel you need the performance and the back seat, buy the C63, with the money you save you can drop $30,000 into the C63, and it should be able to give a stock BS a run for it's money ANYWHERE and you will still have a few bucks left in your pocket. I personally think the C63 is the best looking model MB offers in their entire line...yes, even better looking than the Black Series.
