SWEET FIND....Nice work! That's the ultimate POSER! I think I am going to bid on it and then back out of the deal for false advertising. My buyer rating is 100%, how bad could a negative from him really hurt me?

" I have upgraded this vehicle to 2007 CLK63 AMG with $10K investment. Bring the total to $88,000."
It is not the true CLK63, but an old (2005) CLK55 with upgrades.

I wonder what he spent $10,000 in upgrades on???? You can buy AMG badges on Ebay for $20.00 all day...So where are the other $9980.00 in upgrades?

The best part is that they don't even make a CLK63 Coupe for North America.

Better yet, in one breath he says somthing about new bumper from Germany and in his next breath hes says "never been painted"...So is one to assume the bumper does not match the rest of the car or was it blended (the right way to do it)? If it was blended he can't claim "never been painted"

People are lining up to bid on this one!

I am pretty impressed

Where are the other 10k in up grades?

For starters it has a new front bumber off a 07 CLK63...which does exist in germany.
My guess is the bumper + fog lights would cost around 3k EUR. The rear bumper is also from an 07 CLK 63. It has a real AMG CLK 63 rear splitter and spoiler. Then there is the wheels and the brakes, they cost a pretty penny.

To appreciate what this guy has done you would have to look at an 05 CLK55.
I agree they shouldnt have put the 63 badges on, but it really is the mirror image of an Euro Spec 07 CLK63. Minus 100 hp.

he never says it is a CLK63 black series.

The bottom line is that his car says "CLK63" in the back and "6.3L engine" on side when it clearly is a "CLK55", thus making him a poser. The car looks very clean (it needs a drop though) and these mods fit the CLK55 perfectly, if he would've left the CLK55 badge, then it would be one clean CLK55. Putting the CLK63 and 6.3L badges just makes him look like an idiot. The funny thing is that he says in his auction that nobody would be able to tell a difference even though there is no such thing as a CLK63 coupe in the US to begin with

I know, but why does he feel he will get retail for all the add-ons. I just dropped $45,000 in "extras and mods" on my Black Series, do you think I would get even 25% back if I were to list the car for sale today? I doubt it!

If anyone is interested I will sell them my 2008 CLK63 Black Series for $185,000....the line starts here

I agree with all the comments.

One good looking CLK though, it must be said. Even the euro CLK63 Coupe only had twin pipes though the quads do look better.

You could probably get $185K + for your car. After having seen you car first hand and having driven it, I would opt to purchase you low milage already modded car rather than waiting weeks or months for the mods to get done. That being said, this guy selling the CLK55/CLK63 is nuts.

Very unlikely, unless you were indeed the buyer. His car is tailored to him personally and the vast majority would prefer a "box fresh" BS due to warranty, future status etc.

However, JRCart modded knowing this and doesn't care. Good for him I say

FYI, I drove a CLK63 Coupe (Not a Black Series) supplied to me by AMG for a Driver Training Event at Nuerburgring in October of 2006, and that car was equipped with "quad exhausts". It had twin exhaust tips on both the passenger and driver sides at the rear of the car.

You're correct. The cab over here should've come with them too, though I must say that a return to twin exhausts ala the RS4 will be welcome in my eyes. 4 is overkill but I don't care enough to change from OEM

20+ to list......
One sentence I don't understand, how does a 5.5L SOHC V8 feel the same as 6.2L DOHC V8? It's in his sales pitch somewhere. I guess the extra 100+ horses from the REAL CLK 63 Cabriolet can't be felt by their owners.

Car looks nice to me. However, where is the false advertising involved?

He admits in the add that it's a clk55 built to replicate a clk63 not a clk bs.
Poser yes,but still a nice job.
