it was probably not THAT fast, that's why. I would love to own one of these if i had the money too. The car looks absolutely stunning and if Clarkson says it is a thrill, then I will trust his judgemetn on that.

No he did not!! Just because he called it an "axe murdered with headlights," does not mean he hates it. In fact at the end of the 3 car test he said he would still have it over the new M3 and Audi RS4.

i watched it last night and was very dissapointed. i was so bored. i know all about the car already, ive ridden in them and seen many in person... who cares about showing it winding through some road i dont even know from some helicopter. as many others have stated. i want to see how this beast ranks on their track. im friggin pissed what a waste of time and a great car... f those guys

I'm not trying to put down the CLK Black, I would get a CLK Black and if it were Dec., I would actually be trying to get my hands on one, but of course anyone would take it over the new M3 and RS4! that's not even an competition/question. let's see, a CLK Black is stickered at $138k, for a fully loaded M3, you're looking at $72k, for an RS4, I don't know exactly, but for arguendo, let's just say $70k--it's almost double the price!

I think you misunderstood the quote. It was all in reference to the AMG C63 not the CLK63 Black. This is from the last TOP GEAR show of last season where the boys tested the C63, M3 and RS4. All of them are in the same price range.

It was probably nearly as fast or faster than any Porsche or Ferarri they have tested and we all know he has a BIG hard-on for P cars and F cars, he would never put any evidence out there that would question the superiority of P and F cars.

I don't know which show your referring to but the one i saw he jumped all over it - I dont remember exactly but he didn't say many nice things - he even did this test where he set something up on a curve (an egg or something like that) and tried to hit it with each car and he could never do it in the C63 he then took the M and hit it on the first or second try. (now if its not an egg kill me I already said i don't remember exactly) But I also remember that he didnt like it much. And this is not the first time Ive heard him heap praise on the black.
