skyline
has anyone tested the BS against the GTr.
kindda tired of all my friends telling me that the skyline is killing everything.
is the nissan the king of the track or what?
please, say it ain't so!

You should see the arguements and rebuttals that were and are going on over at 6speedonline...
so it is true!
do you guys think that the new dtm (63 version) will beat the gtr?
my only concern is lap times, not straight line speed.
"who will be the king of the track"
i think i read somewhere that the gtr even beat the SLR at nurenburg (i think that's how you spell it)
btw, has anyone heard about the new nsx?

In "real life" you can't push a car to even 80% of its limits on the street, so "feel' matters much more than "numbers". The BS feels great, while the mags say the GTR is somewhat detached.
For track use, 2 factors matter most: Skill of the driver, and rubber.
It seems that the GTR supplies some of the skill component by computer wizardry. That really isn't satisfying to me. Every car is much quicker on slicks, so if numbers are the most important, it seems one would want those.
But in reality, when driving on a track, you are really just driving against yourself, as there is always a race-prepped something that is quicker. The BS is so controllable, especially with the traction controls off, it is immensely enjoyable in that environment, even if something else is potentially quicker. AS
